Coilover Kit

Good day.

I have a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 automatic transmission. It's under 7,500 miles and the Magneride shocks already gave up. I bought a KW V3 coil-over kit and unfortunately, it's making "tweeting" sounds. I had different shops check everything with the shocks and can't find any reason for it to make any sound. May I ask what shocks you guys used to replace your 5th Gen ZL1's suspension? Thank you.

Sincerely,
Ian H.

Just gave her her first bath since the LT to SS conversion. Preparing her for paint correction and detailing. Also getting the HVAC going, it's freaking hot here in Texas and her leather seats are sweaty when the windows have to be down lol

JRE dipstick is in. Nothing too dramatic, had to unplug the rear o2 sensor and move some wiring harness around a little bit to get them clear from chaffing and the tube lined up. A little transmission fluid on the inside hole of the grommet, and the tube slid right in.

It’s both frustrating and annoying that it still has the factory fill and no leaks and it’s low on the stick. I realize that the JRE setup accounts for an extra quart but it’s probably close to 1/2” below the cross hatches on the stick at operating temp. Whatever engineer decided this plug was a good idea in favor of an actual dipstick should have his degree or licensee or whatever burned! Lol!
Cool! Yeah, I need to do the JRE dipstick too... Thanks for the reminder..

Appointment to install long tubes with high flow cats has been scheduled. My 45th ss is strictly bolt ons and I never went crazy with it. The rest of the exhaust is oem and I will probably keep it that way. It is tuned right now but I will obviously get an updated tune for the additions.

This will hold me over until I can find a gen 6 zl1 at some point.

I am currently in the process of having a 3400 converter and 3.91 gears installed.

I changed out the center brace that I made and installed the BMR one, the one I made out of Aluminum was good but the gap wasn't deep enough to clear the pipes so it rubbed.

Lookin' great as usual . I hear you on the warmth, I took the Z out at 5:00 am today as the humidity dropped and it was pretty nice in the upper 70s.

OMG man, for real. I cannot wait until winter. All my refrigerant leaked out again, after replacing most of my seals. This time I will be replacing all the AC lines.
