Hopefully he still honors the tunes for life deal that people purchased from him. He tuned my car and I can't complain and he was easy to work with . Did purchase tunes for life though RDP and then they did what they did and I lost that then Steve worked with me and I did it though DSP. Used it a lot in the beginning so I think it was worth it.

Quite a few "Remote" Tuners out there, some just throw out a "canned" Tune at you and call it a day - cause most of us don't know better. We just load the Tune and think all is good, because you probably don't have another Tuner's Tune to compare it against. The real Pro's take a explicit aproach and require a regemented process to tune your car properly using data.
A Tuner that does not provide their own Channel List and Layout Format, a download of your current ECM & FSCM, a Wideband Gage and W/B Data Channel, and explicit instructions on how to drive and take Data Logs is just taking shortcuts. Especially on a more modified car with the like of Blowers/Turbos, big Cams, etc. The process can take multiple Data Logs and revised Tunes until all parameters are refined.
The whole "Tune for Life" is just a way to spend more $$, and prob only makes sense if you continue to mod.

Hesste I agree, And if I had FI or serious engine mods I would probably want a dyno tune and then go over with data logging on the street. The tunes for life thing worked for me as I made a few changes and not all at the same time so it equaled out. Would I do it again I don't know. I wish I just purchased teh HP Tuners and could tweak things my self, At some point I will probably go FI and have to start over.

I posted an observation here yesterday. It has vanished. Geez, it wasn't THAT bad!

He has stood behind everything he did on my car and my wifes car and we have used Dynosteve for well over 10 years and never had a issue, i have even reached out to him on a sunday afternoon before and he has made changes and got them back to me the same day, thats up and beyond. Everyone out there always has their own thoughts on businesses and tuners etc but i have always gone by my personal experiences, i used a different tuner prior to dynosteve and decided to do with him because my previous tuner was terrible at getting back to me or returning calls, nothing wring with his tunes it was more a service related issue that made me leave.
