Dry sanded then wet sanded the housings. They just got re-cleared and they will have full UV resistance this time. Theyll be dry by time the cars done. Fedex just please deliver my lifters!

I installed the d2s retrofit kit on my 2010 ss rs. It was nice not having to split the lights. That being said it was super fiddly and and had to get my wife to use her small hands a couple of times. The directions could also use some refinements. I had to slide the projector on the studs and tighten the bracket nuts outside the housing otherwise the holes on the projector wouldnt line up once installed. The results are amazing. The car was unsafe to drive at night before. Now they are the best headlights I've ever had. This was the full kit with new projectors, ballasts, and bulbs.

Congrats! Did you use the Morimoto or CB&D projectors?

There is a Download of the instructions attached as well.
Found this helpful video that shows what the eom bowl, projector & solenoid looks like when removed from the headlight housing at about 2:25

Note - this is for ‘14-15 headlight projector which already has a metal reflector bowl (lucky guys! not the plastic one as in the ‘10-13s). It has only one set of mounting bracket screws that need to be removed which holds both the bowl and projector & solenoid. Also note the ballast was already removed. Before removing the ballast it’s advised to wait a period of time ( FWIW some say 1hr to 8hrs) after disconnecting the headlight harness to allow for its very powerful high voltage retained power to deplete

For the later ones yeah thats a bit excessive. Sort of makes me glad to have a 10-13 headlight haha
