Yep same here, But i do wonder about the valve springs now a little .Had the work done to mine about 7 years ago and im at about 20,000 miles on them. If i keep the car i will build me some heads this year.

If you did a cam swap, the recommended mileage to do a spring "refresh" is after 22k or so miles after the initial install, 22-24k on the trunnion bushings. So I have read on here, and my builder had said too.

You asked this same question in another section, depends on how the car was taken care of by the previous owner. Otherwise it depends on what year the car is, and how it was driven...

I would say lifters would be more of a concern once you get up in miles! The place that did my cam swap said it looked like mine ate a lifter at one point before i owned it. One side of engine was cleaner than other so it had been apart!

As far as I know, and have heard there isn't any, but like Bluebagger said, the lifters would be what I would look at in a high mileage engine. The springs not so much with the stock cam and lift. What wears them out, (springs) is the constant higher rpms of a "high lift" performance cam that puts undo stress on the springs causing the to "get tired" and need refreshing to maintain proper valve seating and pressure of the valves in the heads.

I'm about to take it out of storage , it's been a long winter .

I'll start off with a full service ...... all the fluids and a new windshield .
This car was new to me in November 2025 , I drove it twice and it went into storage for the winter .

We just went from a nice soaking rain last week that washed the roads of salt, to 60 and 70 degree days so i got car out. Then it went to 30 degrees , 6 inches of snow and i would guess a boat load of salt back on roads!!

Hit high of 20 after snow and now its going to 70 by saturday supposably!! Hopefully in next couple years i coming to Florida to retire!!
