Hey all, so my Camaro is at nearly 130,000 miles. It doesn't seem like the previous owners really did much with it as far as maintenance goes. I've already changed the oil/coolant (I'm also having cooling system issues right now, water pump is leaking. Already bought a new one so that's out of the question), but I'm wondering what all should be done concerning a tune up? Asking as this is my first vehicle and I'd like to take better care of it than previous owners as far as maintenance goes.

Edit: Also to note, at idle the engine tends to sort of "pulse". It's been doing this since I got the car and I'm not at all sure what's causing it.

I'm thinking the pulse is the idle moving up and down from a leaking fuel injector. A good cleaning might help but at 130k i would think on replacing all of them with new GM injectors. Fifth gens sometimes have problems with after market injectors I've read.

An upper cleaning of the throttle body and intake valves would also be a good idea. DI motors usually have carbon heavy intake valves as no gas every goes past them. I used to use Sea Foam but switched to CRC.

New plugs might be in order as well. After all the above and the plugs, consider a trifecta tune. Really woke my 13 v6 up. They could run through a data log and give you insight on any further issues.

For cleaning the intake valves would I need to remove the heads?

There are vids on the 'tube that show how to spray thru the intake tube when cleaning a DI.
