So I fixed the problem with weak HID headlights and went to plug and Play LED, which I love. Been using a few years now. I also have the harness so the DRL lights stay on but I'm using an LED that is a bit blinding. PSX26W. See pics. Not getting flashed from other cars because they know it's not my brights, but since the light on the DRL is not directed it's a bit overwhelming especially from the reflector pointing up. Does anyone know if there is a smoked lens for the DRL on a 2012 RS or do you think it can be wrapped with film. I'm mostly concerned with the bottom half of the reflector as thats the area that shines up.

Put 20% window film on mine. Does the job.

I bought a set of "smoked out" film covers from Phastek for mine. I only used the fog covers, not the headlights though. Liked the look, but not how much light the covers cut out on the headlights.
