I have a 2015 Z/28 that I am having a weird problem with my AiM data logger.

When I connect the AiM OBDII cable to the port in the car it won't start. It does not matter if the cable is connected to the Solo 2 DL v2 or not. The car will start as soon as I remove the cable from the OBD port.

Has anyone been able to get data from the OBD to a Solo2 DL v2 ?

I am thinking it might be a bad cable somehow.

I am trying to get data from the OBD and pair it with a Solo 2 DL, Smarty cam Corsa and a shift light module.

It looks like there is not a Z/28 protocol available as a drop down selection in the configuration in Race Studio 3. I have all the latest firmware and software updates installed.

If you have any solid experience with making this work properly, I'd really appreciate the input. I have used AiM with my dedicated race cars and can't seem to make this work in the Z/28 with OBD

Anything else in the car not work? Check the ALDL fuse first.

Everything else works perfectly. I will check that fuse tonight.

The car will start up normally as soon as I remove the cable from the port.

Anyone else at the track or close have an AIM cable you can borrow?

Or a Bluetooth dongle? Or a HPTuners cable?

Go to Autozone and see if it will crank with their code puller plugged up.

This very much more than likely a short in the cable.

The cable was the problem. I bought a new cable, and everything works normally now.
