Help finding my old SS….sort of

So I’m not really sure where to start with this. In 2017 my Camaro was T-boned by a driver who failed to stop at a red light due to being on her cell phone. I was 24ish and still living home at the time. I bought the car back for around 2500 dollars and then sold it to a local salvage yard for 4,000 dollars. Something I still regret doing to this day.

The salvage yard stripped down my car and swapped interior and driveline into the shell of another 5th gen. That salvage yard has since closed down so getting any information from them is not an option.

I don’t know any of the information from the shell of the car they used (year, vin, etc)

Is there any way to track this car down or anyone that can help? I’ll attach some photos below.

No clue how one would go about that since the VIN isnt the same. Having the vin would be the easiest thing to do because you can plug it in to carfax or something like that and see where kt was last registered.
From what I can see search for these. The following options are probably pretty rare all together.

2010 (i can see a chicklet)
Manual
Imperial Blue Metallic
2SS
RS package
IOM interior package

Hope this helps at least.

Nah. We don’t know the original interior color. That orange interior was from my SS and swapped into the blue body. I do believe it was an original RS car because the roof ditch molding is painted. But the blue car had some godawful aftermarket sun roof installed.

Unless you know the VIN of the shell they swapped your parts into, it’s almost impossible to track the car down. Salvage yards don’t usually document those swaps, and without a VIN or title trail, there’s no way to trace it. Your best shot may be to keep posting photos on these groups in case someone recognizes the car.

Hmmm...being originally an RS it was a 6 cylinder body, meaning the computer, wiring harnesses and all kinds of stuff must have been sourced from your original SS.Wouldnt it be better and easier to look for a nice original SS if you are buying another camaro?
