2014 Z/28 Fender Flare Fix

Hey there y'all. I just picked up a 2014 Z/28 and 3M on the fender flares are starting to come loose from the body, makes sense for a 11 year old car lol. I'm looking for guidance on the best way to get it done. From what I understand they attach at the bottom and then just go on the body with 3M, but it can't be that simple right? Is there a specific 3M double side that I need to get? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Can that stuff be removed? Is it a silicone that you could cut with a wire or separate and then clean up to rebond?

I'm sure it will hold the flares on, but you need to be able to remove the flares, too. You have to detach them to remove the front and rear bumpers, which is something every car is likely to have done at some point in its life.

For anyone coming back to this topic.... What I wound doing was pulling off the fender flares myself, takes about an hour a flair when your being careful. On the front fenders they bolt into the front bumper and also clips it at their bottom base, same on the rear. You have to clean all the adhesive off the flares with a paint thinner and plastic razor blade, take about an hour a flare. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL AROUND THE LIP OF THE FLARE!!! IT IS ONLY 1MM THICK, MADE OF SOFT PLASTIC AND IS VERY EASY TO HURT WHEN USING THE PLASTIC BLADE!!! GO SLOW!!!! From there to get the adhesive off the car I VERY CAREFULLY used the same plastic blade to clean off the large hunks of adhesive, and then rubbed it down with my thumb to the point some basic spray polish and pressure would get rid of the rest. Best adhesive I heard all around to use was the old school BMW "betalink" body adhesive. Very hard to find lol. Total job takes about 12 hours but will look very nice when done. God Bless I hope this forum post helps someone in the future.

Errr, yes, I wouldnt have used it if it cant be removed.

Best bet is a toffee wheel https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40065358/ and then acetone or something similar
