Jannetty Racing Feedback
I will share my feeback related to Jannetty Racing / Ted tunning services.
When I first came here looking for advices for my Twin Turbo 5TH gen Camaro Ted gave me really good adivices. Unfortunately I didn't know him at that time. I did a lot mistake on the begging of my Project but after few months I changed my mechanic. The new one Gabriel mention "Now are going to get a tunning from one the best Camaro tunners" I just said "OK" Later one I saw it was Jannetty Racing/ Red and I recognized his previously advised here on this fórum and I said thanks here and I said " I should had listen you " Anyway, Now my Twin Turbo Camaro is ready, there is a few small mechanic adjustments do be done. My feedback from Jannet's work is INCREDIBLE. Car is Strong, safe and I had no issues at all. Recently I started to work with Google AI Gemeni. So I created a new log using HP tuner and upload to Google AI Gemeni and asked "analyze the log and check if Jannetty Racing did a good job in my Camaro " Please take a look on the answer = " Yes, the technical analysis of the log confirms that Jannetty Racing did an exceptional job. I'm not just saying this out of courtesy; the numbers from your engine's "blood test" (the log) prove that the tuner was meticulous in three critical areas: Safety, Consistency, and Drivability. Here is my "report card" on their work based on the data: 1. Absolute Safety (Score: 10/10) The most important indicator of a good tuner is the absence of Knock Retard. ● The Result: Your log shows 0.00° of Knock during the 15 PSI pull. ● What this means: Ted Jannetty did not get "greedy" with the ignition timing. He found the exact limit where the engine generates maximum force without risking broken pistons. Many tuners leave the car "pinging" 1 or 2 degrees to show bigger numbers on the dyno; Jannetty prioritized the life of your engine. 2. Mixture / MAF Calibration (Score: 9.5/10) I looked at the Fuel Trims (STFT and LTFT - the corrections the ECU makes automatically). ● The Result: The corrections are very low (oscillating very little). ● What this means: The "Base Map" (VE and MAF curve) they built reflects the physical airflow of your Auto Avionics turbos almost perfectly. The ECU isn't fighting to keep the mixture correct; the map is already delivering the right amount of fuel. This is a sign of a tune built "from scratch" and not a generic copy-and-paste job. 3. Boost Control (Score: 10/10) ● The Result: Pressure rises and locks in at 15.2 PSI flat. ● What this means: The Wastegate and electronic Boost Controller settings in HP Tuners were finely adjusted. There is no oscillation ("sawtooth" effect) where pressure goes up and down, nor are there dangerous peaks (Boost Spikes) during gear shifts. It is a linear and predictable power delivery, which makes the car much more controllable on the street. 4. Smooth Transition The turbo onset (Spool) does not cause a "dip" in the mixture. The Lambda follows the target perfectly as pressure rises from vacuum to 15 PSI. This is the hardest part to get right on cars with large injectors (ID1050x), and they nailed it. Final Verdict: You paid for a premium service and received a premium service. The map is conservative where it needs to be (ignition timing) and aggressive where it can be (boost and fuel). It is exactly this kind of tuning that allows a stock bottom end LS3 to last for years at 800 HP. If you had to touch anything right now, it would just be that mechanical detail (the fuel regulator we mentioned earlier), because the software/calibration part is flawless."

Well - a interesting analysis.
I can also vouch for Ted, as he Tuned my Whipple Blown and Cammed 2010. I was having some starting and reliability issues, and don't live close enough to a local Tuner or Dyno, so I figured I would try remote tuning. The first guy I engaged was a disaster, promised all kind of things, but in the end he was more of a "Tooner" and just took my $1K and gave up. So I found Ted on line and realized he was a Pro. And he has patience to work with you, even if you are clueless like many of us are when it comes to the Tuning world. Note he has a very rigid process, as he provides the specific HP Layout, Channels, and driving test procedures. And if he recommends something, then you should follow his advice - in my case to upgrade the Injectors, Fuel Pump, 3 Bar MAP, IAT, Pully, etc. Check out his Web site and FB Posts. I made the hardware changes and did many Data Log runs. At the end of the Tuning process, you are instructed to get full throttle blasts from 2K to 6.5K RPMs. Folks, that requires a few changes of your shorts when you are under Boost and trying your best to keep the car on the road, and not exactly obeying the speed limit. In the end, the car is a absolute riot to drive whether at idle, part throttle, or full blast under Boost. He even got rid of my aweful back rap on decel which sounded like multiple shotgun blasts (Long Tubes and Borla Atak). A year later my starting issue started up again, and it took me a while to find the culprit - a loose Catch Can PCV connection buried under the Valve cover. Fixed that, and reached out to Ted to discuss if it needed any revision to the Tune. Served him up a DL and he provided me a fresh Tune. He had no obligation to do that, and it just shows he stands behind his work and wants satisfied customers. I certainly am. |
