I spoke with Katech, They can port just the snout or the whole blower and their price wasn't bad, they do suggest if porting to use a 103 NW TB.

I took off my blower last year and bought it to Kong for porting (not a bad drive as I'm in Jersey). Porting your blower is a way to add boost without spinning the blower any harder as it makes it more efficient. The standard Kong-port will get you around an extra 2lbs of boost on a stock pulley set-up (so 10-11lbs total). X-port will result in more but it's overkill unless your starting to hit that 850+ whp number.

The stock blower snout can only take up to an 90mm throttle body (stock ZL1 is 87mm). Porting from most companies will allow up to a 103mm throttle body. I would recommend Soler, Katech or Nick Williams. Throttle body size really makes a difference on Positive displacement blowers unlike turbo setups... essentially the bigger the better. Just keep in mind that 103mm throttle bodies require a 5inch duct intake like a big gulp. If you choose a smaller standard cold air intake then you will need a step down hose which will create a bottle neck.

I think I remember Kong having a snout-only port but I may be wrong. it really depends on your power goals on whether you should port or not. If your sticking with low boost and not a crazy amount of power then it's not worth it to pay for a porting job as its gonna cost ALOT more than just adding a smaller upper pulley or larger lower pulley. You'd be a long way from over spinning the blower anyway so it'll be reliable with just a pulley...

I am looking to get to the 650 to 700 HP Range and I would like to do it safely. Katech uses NW TB. I am leaning towards just the snout and 103 TB.I understand that porting the whole thing but at trying to do this all at one time add's up as I am going to need a clutch and doing a cam and supporting mods as well.

Are you talking 650-700hp at the crank or 650-700 wheel horsepower?

I'd like to be at least 6 to the wheel.

Nice. I'm at about 600wheel with my mods listed in my bio but thats on the stock ZL1 cam and about 14lbs of boost. You shouldn't nearly need as much boost since you plan on doing a cam. At that power a ported snout would definitely be worth it in my opinion. A ported blower not so much.

Im currently putting a cam in my car now as we speak and doing a 103mm TB with a big gulp intake and some other things.

I sent the Unit off to Kong today and ordered a NW 103 TB as well, Hopefully I made the right choice.

Youre getting just the snout ported or the supercharger and snout?

Should put you around 10-11lbs of boost on a stock 3.0" pulley. It will be nice to have ported if you go for more boost/power down the line. Could have also reached those boost levels easily with a $150 pulley.

To answer your question on if it was the right decision: It all depends on your future goals. If you plan to stay at that boost level then you could've honestly saved yourself $1000+ and just went slightly smaller upper pulley since youre no where near overspinning the blower.

If you plan on going more boost down the line then you can just pulley down and achieve more boost without spinning the blower as hard as a non-ported unit.

I am hoping to just make it efficient, and figured I'd have the peace of mind knowing the blower was gone though and bearings and everything look good. Figured while it was off it made sense to send it out. I hear heat is and issue with these and porting should help with that some as well.

heats only a issue if your spinning the hell out of it like me. lol but i have a interchiller so heats no issue.
Did you have a reinforced brick? If not, you should look into that also.
