Hey all, my motor died recently- Pretty sure it's seized, not 100% sure. But I'm wonderin if there's anywhere that offers rebuild kits for the LFX motors? Incase I'm able to go the rebuild route instead of a new motor.

If you are looking for a rebuid kit, I would be surprised if you find one. I would think a rebuild of that engine would be an inspection and replacement of parts as required. It's not quite like the V8 that might have performance based rebuild kits.

There are gasket kits available though.

If you go with a reman LFX engine remember that the Camaro engine has different specs than say a passenger car or SUV which have lower performance numbers.

Also the Camaro motor was the only LFX motor to get upgraded stronger timing chains. The other models got the original design weak chains.
