Tire suggestions, please

Hey guys, I have a 2015 2SS 1LE that I daily and I'm about to be buying my first set of tires for it, and I think I have it narrowed down to 2 tires. I'm trying to decide between the Continental Extremecontact Sport 02 and the Michelin pilot Sport 4 AS. I've been looking at the ratings on Tire Rack and these 2 seem to have the best ratings for my budget, but I wanted to ask people that have ran both to see what they thought, so if you have run both please give me your input. TIA

I liked the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and the 4S. Haven't tried any of the high tread wear tire.

I've run both of those tires before. Not on my camaro, but when I had a modded Chevy cruze.

They are both great tires. IMHO, the pilots look better, but if you're daily driving, the continentals are a slightly better choice. Simply because of the grip in wet weather.

Agreed with the above statements. I have, and am still running both of these tires. The Conti's by far are the better tire for a daily, and have been running them for 14 years now, love them for all around. As stated, the Michelin's do look better, but are a bit more expensive, and have to get up to temp for them to "work" as well as the Conti's. Right now I have the Conti's on the front, and the Michelin's on the rear because they were the only company that had a 335 tire for my wide wheels, otherwise I would have the Conti's on there instead. Love how the Conti's grip. The reason I don't have the Mich's on the front is because I bought them BEFORE I did the wheel upgrade. Both of these tires have about the same tread design, so they work well together. My first set of Conti's got about 52k miles out of them, not the rears though. lol. You can figure out why. lol.

I stumbled on to the BFG Comp2 A/S, as a former road course instructor this is an AMAZING tire.

Nothing compares for the $, nothing.

Read the reviews and comparisons on Tire Rack.

+1
Best handling and wearing tire I’ve had.

No 315's. Bummer. Only the G-Force Phenom and it's spendy.

315 is a waste on an 11 inch wide wheel, gives no more traction than the 305 and wears the center out prematurely.

Yeah. I'm looking at 305's now. Discount still doesn't have them, but Tire Rack does. Will have to decide on installer.

I have PS4S on both my Z4 and Camaro and have no complaints (other than price), though I haven't tried the Continentals myself yet. The PS4S are much better than the P-Zeros the car came with, in my experience, I feel that the pilot sports have better grip in all situations.

I agree with this. I went with the PS4S summer only and these tires are leaps and bounds the best tire I’ve had on this car.
