Question Dissapearing Fourth Gens?

Hey Everyone,
I had something that's been tossing in my head that I wanna throw out there:

Do you think, that the fourth generation F-Body's are dissapearing? (For the lack of a better word). I notice, to find a good Z28 that you can drive daily is getting harder and harder to find. Maby a time will come where it will be impossible to find one in good working order? One of the reasonings that that has come into mind is the fact that cars now-a-days are being built with a lot of plastic. Plastic deteriorates faster than metal, would that be a plausable argument as to why you could say that the First Gens (for example) lasted longer than the later ones and that finding one isn't like tring to find Big foot?

Feel free to correct me, or disscuss

considering how few of them they were selling, yeah it's going to be hard to find them. 98-02 were the worst sales years for the Camaro.

There's a lot of them out there. Value of the current 4th Gens have dropped since the 5th Gens came out. Eventually, like all other things, they will be hard to find.

Most are getting high miles now. But, there will be a lot more than the 1st Gens we search for now.

Disagree. I will concede thatlots of younger folks can now afford them, and consider them as disposable, or beat the hell out of them, if not crash and total them. There's still a ton out there, just have to look. Most of them end upin my driveway, anyway.

Yep from what I have seen the majority are all have high miles and look like crap. You can still find some nice ones I have two in my garage.

2000 NBM V6 A4 ttops 53k in cherry condition
2001 LPM Z/28 A4 ttops 53k in cherry condition

for now they will stay put in my garage but if someone offered me the right amount of $$$ I would have no problem parting with them.

when i look at the auto trader in phoenix, i only see a few late-4th gens at a time. Earlier years are a little more plentiful.

I sold mine to the parents of an 18 year old with a lead foot, and after going on the test drive with him...I would bet there's one less on the road by now.

Thumbs up

If you go to ls1tech.com there should be a ton for sale there.
Mine is completely stock, except for new battery. 14,717 miles. Hugger Orange with white leather, all options, except for traction control. T-tops and 12 disk Monsoon stereo system. Always garaged, never out in rain/wet pavement/snow. Pretty much immaculate. Back seats never sat in.

I think the most impossible generation of camaro to find in an original unmolested condition would be the third gens. A lot of people mod and abuse the crap out of them, and not many consider them nice enough to restore. Would sell a kidney for a 1992 Z28 manual 305 TPI anniversary, black with red stripes of course.
