Can’t remove bulb for replacement

I’m trying to replace the headlight/fog light bulbs for my vehicle and it will not turn counter clockwise to detach so I can replace the bulb. I can remove the circular cover and remove the wire attach on the bottom side but I just can’t turn the unit after that. 2010 SS Camaro. Switching to halogen lights. Is there a hack I can do to try and remove this without hurting myself or my vehicle?

The factory lights have a rubber gasket that makes them fit tight and hard to turn.

What do you mean by switching to halogen lights? Do you currently have HID's? Halogen bulbs won't fit in a HID housing. Or did someone put in LED bulbs and you are wanting to switch back?

The bulbs I bought said it should fit my Camaro and it says it’s halogen bulbs. Should I have bought something different to fit mine? The bulbs in now are the stock from 2010. Is there a tool I can get or use to make it easier to turn to get out? The space is extremely limited for my hands to turn inside the area.
