About to pull the trigger on a Corsa catback

So, I've got an `11 SS 6spd with Longtubes and stock exhaust behind. I've been waffling between Corsa Sport, Borla S-Type, and Borla Atak. I think I'm pretty much going wiith the Corsa Sport. My only thing is I want it to definitely be louder than it is now, but not insane. Reason being in the future it's most likely going to be super charged and maybe cam. So, for anyone with Corsa Sport and headers, can you confirm there's a significant volume increase from the stock mufflers with headers?

you don't need a corsa to increase the noise from the exhaust. Headers, xpipe, and a cam will definitely increase how loud the stock exhaust will be. MY car with stock NPP exhaust, headers, cam and xpipe shakes the walls in the house while its idling in the garage.

A cam actually makes the car louder. I can tell you headers with the Atak cruising the car is pretty quiet on the inside but at wot, itll sound like a nascar. From the outside its one of those exhaust setups that make your ears ring.

Anything will be louder than the oem trash can mufflers. I think Corsa sports will be perfect for what you want. Not ridiculously loud but still be loud.

I have the Corsa Sport ZL1 catback with LT's and no cats, and it is pretty dang loud at WOT! It will wake up the dead for miles around! Idling it is really an attention getter for sure, cruising it is pretty tame which is why I bought it, no drone they advertised, zero, pretty quiet in the car, you can actually chat with your passenger, if you have one, or listen to your tunes, but who does that anymore with a nice exhaust setup. lol. Cold start up will get some attention as well. Cruising up through the gears it just sounds amazing, best system I've had to date. And as tart said, idling in the garage or carport like I have, it will rattle and shake the walls in your house! Here is a short exhaust clip of mine. Click off the log on box and go to the second vid. Turn up the volume. You don't have to log on to FB, it is public.

Thanks guys. Good info, but I'm clear
On all that. I've listened to a ton of clips, which of course isn't same as in person. Really what I'm looking for is if anyone has gone from my current setup, LT's, HFC, and stock mufflers to adding a Corsa sport, if you had some increase at least idle and cruising. I know later when I cam and/or supercharge, that will bring it up a lot too.

The short answer is, yes. Nothing over the top but, noticeable.

Oh heck yeah! It's like the sport mufflers are a straight through design, and they don't stop much of the exhaust note, but the piping inside the mufflers are designed and perforated to eliminate the high and low frequencies that cause drone. So yes, you will notice quite a bit difference. Just get it. I wished I would have gotten mine way sooner than I did, just from all the compliments I get about the awesome note at idle.

Ok. Really as is with headers, HFCs, and stock mufflers isn't bad and sounds good when you hammer it. But I'd like a more at idle and low to mid ranges now, but not become too insane later when it's cammed or supercharged.

Had Corsa on my 2014, IMO there is not a better sounding cat back on a Camaro, add headers and she will scream when you get on her.

You wont be disappointed
I kept the stock exaust and after adding LT headers it sounded better , after a cam , better yet , after a buzzing from the expansion chamber on the factory exaust ( not heatshild , a lose baffle) i choose a corsa sport system after reading weeks of reviews , listening to dozens of videos , and its as good as everyone says , its fairly loud especially cold starts in the garage..., no drone , sounds mean when mashing the gas , pretty much as JEWLD described.

Best sounding system out there I think, and a lot of other folks as well... I get sooo many compliments at the shows when I pull in, they seem to follow me to my parking spot to ask about it, and they usually say, "I heard you before I even saw you"!!

Nice! This thread is making me want a Corsa Sport. And I was convinced I would never part with the NPP. Bet you will love it.
