Yep. She had lunch with us on Saturday. I'll be sending you the liability forms to complete for future meetings.

Yes. I thought I remembered her... very quiet. I guess she was sizing us up. Better bring duplicates of those waivers....

I know what you mean. I got mine on a Friday and didn't stop until Sunday night. I put around 200 miles on it just cruisin around.
Now you have had time to drive it, what do you think?

Kids are fun arn't they.. Slick you must be proud of her that is great. I do think that all kids vary from one to the other. I also think that kids that are raised with a Mom and a Dad do have a better chance in life. Ive been a single Mom for 10 years ( wow that seems like forever) and my kids are 3.0 students they are good kids and all but I admit I do push them with homework and constantly check to make sure all the homework is being completed. My Daughter is a social butterfly and my son is a sports nut. They both want to go to college I hope they keep focused. I try my best as there Mom and can only hope they will do well in life and be happy.. You seem like a really great Mom and have a solid family that is really something to be proud of as well..

I think its awesome this group of unknown people brought together by a Car its so cool really and I think it will be fun to have get together's and build on these friendships. Just think when we meet up with DDA, OWL, and PearlDrums and maybe a few more it will be so much fun I can hardly wait for Spring to get here..

Anyway sorry to ramble on it's what I do best. Oh yeah I did buy the Chicklets for my car and put them on but hate to say Im not the most patient person. One side is slightly over more then the other due to my splash guards being on. The height is even on both sides so that is a plus and maybe when I have my stripes re-installed they will fix it for me..

Have a great night everyone.

Oh yeah Pearl we any news yet?

My daughter mentioned that we should have a name for our group, her words "Like a biker gang." Keep in mind my daughter is slightly evil, so I'm not sure what her motives are yet. It could be that she is just making fun of me AGAIN.
I agree. "That when we show up in force, we will ALWAYS be a show-stopper." And with the newbies joining in, it will make it all the more exciting.

She could be making fun of all of us. A bunch of adults acting like children at Christmas....... yup, that's me. I never want to grow up.
So did she have any ideas for a name?

SSOOCH let's pick a name that applies to all of us, not just you. Stay away from the SL Purple Dusters too. We'd constantly be fighting to defend your honor.

I myself was raised by a single mom as an only child. There isn't a tougher job on earth. In addition to a great mom, I had the benefit of my aunts & biker uncles (my childhood friends were Lips, Guts, Crab..) I grew up on, and we ran, motorcycle race tracks. I now know that it is traumatizing to a child to have them throw down the chalk line just before the race starts, or to have their Mom be the "trophy girl" because the other aunt refused to do it "again."

My goal is to raise two independent kids with self esteem. I figure I have one shot to do it right & I intend to. I think my parenting is more "sitcom mom" style. It might be entertaining, but my kids know that "I mean it." I've carried screaming children through grocery stores in my pajamas just to prove my point...only to learn that I had forgotten to remove the metallic "silver spaceman" eyeshadow that my daughter had me "try on." (See, it started at an early age).

Single mom's are the true keepers of "Go-Go Girl Power" so hats off

I've been a single dad for ten years now myself so know how tough it is. My son survived the ordeal and is in Italy in the Air Force and working to complete his degree. My 15 yo(going on 25) daughter has a 3.95 GPA and is on the swim team at Snow Canyon HS. They kept me young, but my hair sure turned gray.

Miles

I have 3000+ on mine, but I've had it since June. I'm driving it today for sure! I'll go through withdrawals while it's raining/snowing this weekend.
