I have not seen their numbers to be honest, but the truth is the Carbon Fiber is around 14 oz total weight, with the filter around 1.5 lbs. Stock is 7.7 lbs, so there is a little weight savings.

The true benefit is the high flow capability of the Halltech Hornet MAF 102. Way too big for the stock motor, but once headers and minor tuning are done, it is a beast with over 406 RWHP410.5 lbs-ft torque on the SuperFlow Chassis Dyno.

For those that can wait a few more weeks, we will have the full system in plastic with the heat shield and +14 RWHP/ 10.6 lbs ft. in stock trim no tuning.

mine is the Camaro that you show the Dyno results on & like the numbers show your Halltechs Yellow Jacket CF102 Did the trick
Picking up 13.4 RWHP & 22.3 lb ft say it all over The Hennessey COI
It is a bolt on Package that looks like everything fell together perfect for Fit & Horse Power !
Your Halltech Yellow Jacket CF102 in the Carbon Fiber The American Racing Headers & Cats the the awesome looking MBRP
304 Polished stainless Exhaust with the Square tips all Look Great, & better yet brought the Camaro up a couple notches
Not to mention Your Carbon Fiber Yellow Jacket Looks better Than the pictures Top Quality, You Must be Proud of what you came out with!
To bad it almost time to park for the winter
Thanks alot!
Thanks Rick. Looks like you validated what the shootout showed. I think Jannetty did a very comprehensive, detailed and accurate comparison. Maybe our setup will be in their next shootout.

I understand you are contemplating a cam, maybe head work. Bruce at Powrmax Performance is the man. A perfect team with Dan's Dyno down the road.

We have been tossing around the possibility of an SCT tuner with our program pre-populated for those that want to do some minor tuning, such as intake, exhaust and cam, and get rid of the CAGS, rev limiter mods, and top speed limiter.

UPDATE ON HALLTECH'S CROSS-LINK POLY YELLOW JACKET

The mold is due into our plastic shop on the 11th of November. We should be producing parts the week after that. I estimate the first units out the door on 11-17-09.

Pricing is $399.99. This includes our heat shield due out in 2 weeks. We may have a group purchase and discount that price if there is enough interest.

Horsepower/Torque- 14 RWHP which is 16.5 HP at the flywheel and 10.6 lbs-ft torque at the wheels, which interpolates to 12.5 lbs-ft at the flywheel.

Weight: Less than 4 lbs. vs. 7.7 lbs stock

Ease of installation: 10 to 15 minutes max, and zero cutting or chopping.

Tech Support- From Jim Hall at jim@halltechsystems.com

Warranty- Lifetime Warranty on all parts. Filter has a 1,000,000 Warranty and is ISO 5011 Certified.

Shipping New Yellow Jackets Monday

Our mold is finished, with new parts being roto-molded tomorrow and Friday.

Our heat shields are in stock now, so all heat shield backordered will ship tomorrow.

Check with Halltech's dealer network for a dealer near you for introductory pricing.

We'll have pictures posted Friday on our website and here.

We guarantee 14 RWHP/11 lbs ft torque or your money back.

Does this mate up to a maggie? I'm wondering because I'm planning on getting one installed by Jannetty and was still looking at different intake options. Thanks.

Thanks Rick,

I just shipped the backordered Heat Shield and the shorter 8" filter for slightly better fitment.

If you are satisfied with the 9" we can pick it up later when we get back up to Appleton with our Alky Z06.

Yes it does. Our second one out the door last month went on a full on Maggie setup with cam, headers, and a 10PSI pulley.

627 RWHP/655 lbs-ft was the result. I should have the dyno soon. The customer needs to scan it first.

We've sold 6 to Nickey Chicago for their SC and NA big motors. They love the setup.

Some slight modifications to the PCV need to be done, but that would be a piece of cake for Jannetty.

Well Jim, I was on the fence about which CAI to buy until I saw this post! I am a loyal follower w/ the Killer Bee and Beehive in my Z06!

Can we order this on the website or do you think a group purchase may happen?

Thanks for all your work!

Thank you Ron.

I will likely have a group purchase right here on our plastic Yellow Jacket. $399.99 regular with a $50 coupon (instant) making it $349.99.

We are installing our first production plastic version of the intake tomorrow. Once we have pictures and get the mold up and running Monday, we'll post the GP.

Our Carbon Fiber Yellow Jackets are backordered for 3 weeks at this point.

Maybe tomorrow. We are going to our Milwaukee Plastic Mfg. to check the new mold and fitment.

This is a very high quality product which actually works as it was designed to. No BS, just the real deal and I have to mention the great tech support which comes along as with the purchase.

We picked up a substantial HP increase on our 427ci test vehicle.

Can't wait to see your dyno now. The 102mm throttle body should be there in the next couple of days.

Please share.
