I'm thinking that the IO is overkill on a Camaro and can even make it a little, shall we say, redneck? The gray seems more elegant and subtle.

Perhaps it's the execution as I've seen Sema red interiors that look really nice, but I think the IO looks a little vinyl looking.

But what is YOUR opinion?

Thanks!
Inferno orange all the way brother, it's a muscle car, it should be different than the mass of other production cars in every aspect. Don't get me wrong gray interior is ok and nice, bu in my opinion, it is again ok and nice but not cool kick ass inferno orange. Belive me, it's definitely not vynil but pure awesome GM top of the line leather. As well, to make things even more badass, I would go with painted inferno orange stripes, man your car would be the coolest around the block.

Cheers!

I have a CGM and I went black leather it is the best looking of all the other combos I have seen. With you being in Canada, heat will not be a factor.
I will post pics for you to review and hopefilly help your decision.

Okay guys, I've embraced my inner redneck and got the IO interior. You're right - this is a dam Camaro, not a Lexus.

I think it depends if it's a daily driver or a weekend warrior .... Dark colors are easier to keep clean if it's a DD car .....

No it ain't no DD! (but thanks for letting me know what "DD" is)

I'm an analyst by profession so I spend a lot of time analyzing myself in the name of understanding what makes me tick.

One thing I realized is people get sick of "daily" stuff. You never get sick of your "special" suit, or your "special" shoes that you wear on occasion. People get sick of their cars because they buy one "nice" car and just drive that all the time. It's the same with nakedness. In cultures where everyone is nekkid, nekkidness ain't no big deal. In the West it's a big deal because everyone's covered up - so nekkidness is special.

Also, DDs become beat up and they become dirty - when that happens your feelings for the car will diminish. I've seen cars from the 80s that had a mint paint job and condition and they still look great! Why? Because they looked mint. Cars that get beat up from use just look old - that's why people sell them. Virtually ANY brand spanking new car looks good because of the immaculate condition and paint job. Heck I saw a Nissan Cube that actually looked "nice" because of the shiny paint. Similarly vintage cars no matter how kitschy they look, kinda look nice because they are in such good condition. However - mark my words - when the paint starts to fade on your Camaro - you will lose at least some feelings for it.

Therefore my Camaro is my special car. And my boring practical cars will be for practical purposes - so who cares if I get sick of my practical cars? It actually makes A LOT of fiscal sense. Think about it: if you add up the costs of changing cars every 5 years because you get bored of them, how much would that add up to? A heck of a lot more than buying one nice fun car and one beater/practical car and not ever trading them in. It also helps that I'm nostalgic. I don't want to buy a car that I love and keep trading them in.

I like your way of thinking! Now to take it one step further:

My special car (waiting patiently):

My really special car:
