I'd love to be sitting in a Camaro all day compared to my CVPI. Better fuel mileage, handling, comfort and looks, well, we gotta look good! Who wouldn't?
BTW, in Illinois, I can equip my car, with a letter for the lights, but I don't know of any department that will let you use it. |

well the camaro that NJ state troopers are using are fully loaded for no reason. sunroof, 21' tires' IO interior????, RS, probably everything else one could put on it.

I was thinking about this, and I'm not sure there's as much need as there used to be. I mean in '92, there was no way a cop cruiser could catch a stock Camaro, Mustang, Corvette, etc. The cruisers took like 24 seconds to get to 100 mph (can't remember, read it a long time ago). But today, if they're using Chargers with hemis, the difference in performance between them and the sports cars on the market isn't nearly as much. I'm assuming most of the Chargers you see in law enforcement have hemis.

So much so, it ended up putting me in a ditch at 50mph, and 15ft down. No one cried at the Charger's funeral and it was replaced, happily, with an Impala, lol. |
