That was a poke at your spelling police post...thus the smiley.

seems like someone instead of asking for references to these "experts" is just complaining that knowledge is just given out.

There do seem to be a few topics that generate some heated discussions or opinions, but do as Moose (Ed) suggested and report the post, or contact a moderator. You have the ultimate authority however, in that you can just skip over those topics. If you notice a trend that it seems to be certain individuals that post things that offend you, put them on your ignore list.

You'll never be able to control the behaviors of others, you'll be far less frustrated if you don't try. Spend your time in a way that makes you happy, if this place frustrates you so much, maybe one solution is to spend less time here.

However, if you have genuine questions, you'll get very helpful responses for the most part. There really are some great people here, but no you won't like everyone!

....oh and ... this is the internet.... Anyone who can type (and some who can't) is considered an expert. It's the place where you're right and wrong at the same time LOL

(Moose - Thanks for getting rid of that)

OK. I see another thread outliving its usefulness.

What say we shut her down?

1. You're referring to Scott as not being an expert. (which I know was not your intention)
2. Your comments cause another to react and make a statement which is counter to the point you were trying to make.

Just as you will look at someones response to a question and feel that they might be "calling someone a moron" by the repsonse they provide, is an expamle of perception.

People will react based on their perception. I'm sure you DID NOT mean to infer Scott is not an expert. And I'm sure 99.9% of the people who respond to another persons question are NOT inferring that the one asking is a moron.

I really think people need to relax and take a breath. As I said earlier, the majority of people here are a great group. If you have a problem, and it goes for anyone, bring it to the attention of a mod. or admin., and we'll address it.

Ed

Now THIS is what I call excellent moderating. Good job Ed!
