This is a forum. Why don't we talk about cars instead of acting like totalitarian dictators and "shutting buffoons" down that you happen to disagree with. That's the number one thing I don't get. I'm talking about cars, and you guys are talking about me. If you disagree and truly believe that there should be no visible differences between the different models - then talk about that. I have my opinion, and I want to hear yours about the topic.

Seriously you're the one acting like the picture at the end of your post because at least I'm talking about cars instead of bashing other people.

You were making the discussion that you bought the RS package because it made your car more "different" (I'm using special from this point on; it holds the same connotation), which obviously implies that you do, in fact, believe that your car is better than non-RS car. You were making the argument that the 2SS/RS you worked so hard for was so much better than an LS or LT, and you're complaining that the RS package is so similar between the LT's and SS's which in turn makes your car less special.
You're a bloody hypocrite!
actually it's the opposite. People who bought the RS package and criticize me for wanting my car to look different are hypocrites.

Seriously - do some people have a complex or something? Let's talk about cars instead of bashing people.

Tell me something: do you think I have a right to my opinion, or should this forum only be for people who think the same way.

Who is the bigger asshat: the guy who says his opinion, or the person who insults him for thinking differently?

As for looks, the LT/RS doesn't look much different from the SS/RS. Only the mail slot and the lower grill is different.

You bought the 1LT because it's different from the LS. You bought the 2LT because it's different from the 1LT. You bought the 2LT/RS because it's different from the 2LT. What are you saying that everyone except the guy who bought the LS is shallow? Up until this point, the differences are mostly cosmetic!! So all of a sudden I'm evil because I want my car to look a little different than a lower model? Seriously?
I still do not get the correlation. I'm telling you that buying a car that you think is hot because it's not popular is stupid. The Mustang is a hot car. I wouldn't say the same about the Challenger. Because that's my opinion.

I'm sorry, but you just listed differences that are very noticeable. Do you want the SS to look like a Corvette or something? I'm confused.

No, I bought the 2LT because it had features I wanted over the 1LT (not cosmetic stuff except for the wheels), not because it's a status symbol that I can hold over all of the LS/1LT owners.

Did you even read the post? It's not what you're saying, but the way you're saying it... How else do you explain the explosion of responses to such a potentially harmless topic? You make an innocent statement, but make it in a condescending way.

Let it die, dude. Sometimes opinions are better left kept to themselves.

You do realize that your SS looks like every other SS, right? Even SS's that cost less than yours. Whatever amount of money you spent on your SS that is more than an LT is under your hood. You say you want your car to look different? Open the hood dude! Turn the car on and rev it! There's your extra $6k. Come on man.

You want your car to look different? Customize it.

I do agree with you on one thing - bash ideas, not people.

Simple. I respect your right to voice your opinion. Even though it's not been on topic up to this point and has purely been bashing with no effort on your part to try to understand that I'm not trying to offend anyone. I am just over-explaining to make a point. People instead focused on my over-explanation rather than my POINT.

That's what respect is: respect for people's opinion. Since you asked the moderator to shut me down because you disagree with my opinion, then you obviously have no respect.

For the record, I think a lot of threads are frivolous and silly here, and I've mentioned a few. But I don't go on those threads to attack those people: I respect their right to think the way they do.

Honestly, I don't think you're getting it.
People who bought the RS package are criticizing you because you want it to be more different on the SS model than the LT model because you're paying more for it. They're not hypocrites because they're happy with what they've got- you're not. That's the difference between them and you.
You want to talk about cars? Lock your topics. It's easy. Find a mod/admin online, throw them a PM saying "hey, can you please lock my threads?" include the links, and you're done. You can go back to talking about cars.

As for the wheels, they're 18" Corvette Z06s, wrapped in Michelin Pilots!

Let me put your original post in a much more appealing manner, and you can notice how it might have got a better response.

Something like:

I love my new 2SS/RS and it looks amazing, its one hot car. I think GM sort of dropped the ball between 1LT/RS 2LT/RS and SS/RS. What I mean is the SS/RS I think should have a bit more styling to separate it more from the 1LT and 2LT models. They all look sweet but if GM put a bit more into the SS I would have been even more impressed. What do you guys think? Could GM have put more styling into the SS, the engine is great but im talking exterior.

See how that didn't insult the 1lt/2lt owners but explained my opinion?

PS:
so why go on about it? I've already explained that I meant no harm, so why keep attacking me? Why not be gracious and let me explain that I meant no harm and let that be that.

Here, I'll even apologize: I'm sorry if I caused offense. I like to talk a lot and delve deeply into things. I don't think I'm better than anyone, and I had to borrow money for my Camaro, so I'm not a rich brat. Okay?
