you could just go to the racetrack and fill up with 108 octane all the time....might cost you a pretty penny though

Gas Stations have been doing this for years. I never get the premium stuff, I've always gotten regular (87) octane and just added some of the octane booster after I fill up. Works for me. So does anyone know of a gas station that does keep its stuff in the right order? Circle K, BP and Wilco/Hess are the big ones out here.

A lot of place have pumps that BLEND the 92-93 with 87 to get your 89 octane. Sunoco comes to mind. Many times when we drop at a station we have little contact with the folks at the station other than to drop the paperwork. |

Brand name stations do not mix the gas. The drivers of the transports would be fired if they get caught doing it. The stations have electronic tank gauging equipment and after a delivery the volume in the storage tank is compared to the invoice generated when the driver loaded the tanker. If there is a discrepency the sales are stopped until the gas is tested or pumped out and the proper product dropped in the tank. The drivers also have to gauge the tanks before delivery to ensure the product will fit. The before and after gauges are checked to ensure the driver dropped the right product into the right tank. Do not run Regular or Plus in the SS as you will lose a good amount of HP due to the ECM/ECU resetting to the lower octane spark and timing advance tables. The dealer will more than likely put unlead in your car so run it almost to E and then fill it with Supreme. Pull the #5 and #20 fuse, let it sit overnight and replace the fuses. This resets the ECM/ECU to the factory higher octane table.
