I hate the stereotype of mullets and stupid redneck crap with camaros. Its just dumb, they need to get over it. It is not 1980 anymore.
I was thinking the same thing when I read that article. I'm getting a little tired of nearly every article portraying Camaro owners as mullet-headed rednecks. That stereotype just doesn't fit anymore.

lol yea I guess it's not the best comparison. But it's more of a generational thing. I think if it as a good thing (Camaro lore).

This concerns me a little. I have a difficult time believing that a suspension setup can be performance oriented and provide good feedback to the driver and at the same time handle a 'pockmarked' road with 'hardly any disturbance'.

Don't get me wrong, the Camaro is no all-out sports car, I am not looking for a super-stiff suspension, but even a 'compromise' setup like the stock sport suspension on a BMW 3 series or Z-4 (non-M) will give you feedback about imperfections in the road in a way that I would not describe as 'hardly any disturbance'.

It's Car and Driver man, they don't know what they're talking about. They probably couldn't give you the definition of "road feel". Or, they meant they felt it though the steering wheel and pedals (responsiveness) but not in the seat (cabin disturbance).

I undersand your concern. But, their description of the road is up for grabs. Who knows what they mean by pockmarked. It might be as bad a pot holes or just cracks in the pavement. I think all of this is still real subjective. To even talk about suspesion feel is subjective, It's like trying to find one color for everyone. We all want something different in a suspension setup.

Reviews and specs are nice, but the only way to tell if you will truly love a car is to get behind the wheel and push it.

I dont think its a big deal. you have to assume that when buying a camaro, you never could fit comfortably in the back. If you want to be comfortable in the back seat you need a sedan.

IMO It never really has fit. Mullet's were just the style back then. They were all over. More than just Camaro's were driven by people with mullets.

(I hate to admit though that I DID have a kinda mullet and drove a Camaro. LOL If I'd know then it would be reviled years later I never would have had it. haha)

I'll tell you, i'm really sick of reading Camaro articles, and reading the work "mullet". I actually wrote Motor Trend a couple years ago, and they printed my letter. Are mustang or rice rocket owners a higher class than us??
I don't have a mullet, i don't have lynyrd skynard album, and i don't know anyone who does.
