SS Exhaust Tip Diameter?

I'm doing research ahead of delivery on cosmetic exhaust tips. I think the stock ones are almost invisible due to it blending in to the rear fascia.

So - what is the diameter of the stock SS Exhaust tip for fitment of an aftermarket tip? Thanks!

Cool tips

Hey Ijust cut my exhaust off the rear but not where it would void the warranty, i installed slp loud mouth tips and rear pipe. They are 4inch tips and they run into 3inch exhaust.Hope that helps. Rob

Magnaflow makes some 3-1/2 " that fit perfectly and look better than stock, angle cut double wall. Look and fit perfect. You could squeeze a 4" tip in there if your exhaust guy knows what hes doing. The opening is 4-1/2 Inches IIRC

Heres some pics with the Moroso Spiral Flow muffflers. Whole axleback system cost 300 installed and they welded flanges to everything so I can put back to stock in about 20mins.
This system will hold me over till I get the long awaited Hooker Super Comps, and run a 3" system all the way back with and X-Pipe

I'm sorry - I'm still confused. What's the diameter of the stock SS exhaust tips? Seems like you're saying it's 4.5 inches but a 3.5 inch one can fit? I don't need to know what's the opening of aftermarket tips, only the stock tip so when I look at a catalog I know which sizes of aftermarket tips to filter that will fit over the stock tip. Thanks.

okay - so I should look at aftermarket tips that are 3.5" or more, because the stock tip is 3". Got it. Thanks!!

Cool man!! Do you feel any significant power gains?? I was looking into a muffler delete option but this is much more economical for me. I'll post pics when i get it done.

Nope lol. Just sounds like an 8 now instead of an inline 6. Im pretty sure the only real gains would be by doing headers back. The bottleneck is definitely in the manifolds.
