Sounds good! Sound is a bit on the thinner side... but still sounds good and the main thing is you are happy with it!

I agree, the raspiness it has to lend itself to certain "exotic" type sound. It's liveable though, and as the motor winds up, lol...wheeee!

Idle has a good note as well. We'll see what happens with some miles on the car/exhaust and hopefully the addition of JBA shorties!!

Did you just get the mufflers or a whole exhaust. And also is there any hp/torque gain?

I don't want to thread jack, but I think this could go here since it is Flowmaster related.

I saw this mentioned in another thread post #28

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...v6#post1166838

So I started digging around and here is what I came up with.

Correct Flowmaster Axle Back item number but no description on the summit site. It does match the numbers given in the previous link above for the 2010 V6 Camaro.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/?...d=817483&dds=1

The axle back system they are going to put out uses the same mufflers as this axle back for the Mustang.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-817460/

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/kitpdf/817460.pdf

Which uses the 40 Series Delta Flow Muffler.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-842543/

So I'm going to go out on a limb and say if I was to order the 40 Series Delta Flow mufflers, Flowmaster item #842543 and some new tips I would basically have the Axle back that Flowmaster is going to release soon?

Mufflers and tips only. I don't know about any gains, going to see the dyno guy today, although I never did a baseline. So whatever I get will basicly be the baseline.

Yep, basicly. Although I believe the 40 series will be louder then the Super 44s I'm running. Could be wrong though, lol...

I'm not looking for any real gains in hp with any system. I think the GM engineers came up with a great exhaust system that allows these cars to flow. I just want to change the way it sounds, because the stock exhaust is to quiet while at idle and cruising speed and sounds weak under throttle. I don't care to spend a bunch of money for a better sound and only a few hp.
