I know they want to keep a list but it's BS to tell people they can get the car in a certain amount of time and that not be the case... Wonder why car salesmen get a bad rap???
I understand where you're coming from personally, but having no allocation isn't the only reason a car can sit in 1100 status. All three dealers in my area have allocation, because we sell them. All of us have had instances where cars sat for months in 1100 status due to contraints on production.

All of us can also buy outright or DX Camaros from other dealers if the customers wants it now.

Having said that, just because a customer can walk into a dealer and buy a Camaro, while an ordered one sits in 1100 status, does not mean that said dealer is doing anything improper.

You have to take it on a case by case basis to be fair to all parties.

In the end, the key is communication. If your dealer communicates w/ you, and lets you know whats going on, trust in them. If you're constanly calling, and no one is returning your calls, and when they finally do, they don't answer your questions.... well, then I'd start looking elsewhere.

Car sales people are no different than any other industry. 10% are good, the rest are.... well, the rest. Just don't put all of us in the same boat.

I agree with everything you have said but it is quite apparent that there are dealerships that are willing to take advantage of uninformed consumers.

I wish there were more out there like you who will just tell the story plain and simple with no misdirection for beating around the bush!

Who is your dealer? Joseph has about 6 on their lot right now. Sweeney has a few too.

Sorry, missed it. I'll avoid them when I order. I'll probably go with Hirlinger in Harrison as long as they honor GMS.
