Bro, you need to switch your collison coverage to "broad". You don't pay your deductable if the accident is not your fault. If costs a little more but it would have surely been worth it in your situation. If you need a great agent let me know, mine is absolutley awesome.

I have broad but it only covers it if the car was not being operated.

I had a hit and run on my Camry. Because of the police report I didn't have to pay the deductable.

The person turned their ford truck too sharp in the parking lot and did this to my bumper. Some patrons got the license plate, and I'm sure they got a nice fine for that.

Was your car parked? If so than yes you won't have to pay for the deductible, but not if you were driving.

Yes the car was parked and I was inside enjoying my pizza when it happened.
I took these pictures the next day after I drove it home.

Car Stop in Oakpark. It's owned by a relative of mine, they only do insurance work though (except for mine) but trust me their work is AMAZING, they really do take their time. I had three shops look at it after the accident and not one could tell me what part was repaired, I just got it back this Thursday again, still needs to go back to them for detailing/buff/polish, if you'd like I can get you their phone number.

I previously had a Grand Prix that was hit outside of my friends house (hit and run) and I didn't have to pay a deductible, what he's trying to say is even if I'm driving I don't but that's now how it works.
