question for tuners out here
Hi,
So i have borla headers; the car runs perfectly but after i heard about it id like tuners out here to offer a pacqage for those of us like me who dont have access to a good tuner : -remove torque protection (if thats what its called) -remove skip shift -remove top speed limiter (if possible?) -stock a/f and timing I think hp tuners does that How much would a mail tune like that cost? |

We offer mail order tunes, and have done enough of the Camaro's now that it would not be a problem to do at all.

Recommend: Buy a (PN # 2865) Superchips Limited Edition Handheld Tuner for the 2010 Camaro from us @ 2 Tightwads Racing. See attached.

With a Diablo Predator or Trinity, you can Take your Stock tune and modify just what you want to.
Just what the doctor ordered, and leaves room for any future upgrades, is a Code reader, data logger, the Trinity adds real time guages user configurable touch screen etc. With Either of these I can remote tune your car for your mods. Let me know If I can answer any questions. Ted.

No need to pay a bunch of money for a canned tuner. Tons of shops offer good mail order tuning packages! We do complete mail order tuning for $225 & the tune is custom built to your cars goals & mods. Not to mention the tunes have free upgrades for a year & only $75 after that!

Reality is you or anyone else for that matter using any tuning equipement Hp Tuners Pro, Diablosport, and yes my recommend Superchips aren't removing any of your original requests without a reflash. Thats how the computer is updated with the new peramiters. One exception would be the skip shift which you can waste $30+ on an eliminator or hardwire one in yourself with radioshack skills. I would much rather spend on a handheld i.e. Hypertech or Superchips in the beggining to learn the ropes. Re-sell my handheld as my modifications grew into a better option. Then when you are ready to invest some real $'s, apply some intellect, and reading time to learn a full featured tuning suite I would skip the Diablosport and get Hp Tuners Pro. I've been down both of these paths as an enthusiast and a shop owner. I promise this is the best method to the madness.

I took a quick look at HP Tuner's site and it sure seems like it's going to be way over my head. Isn't it just software? Wouldn't I need to supply a laptop (which I don't have)? I'm assuming you could buy a cable to go from the laptop to the car?
I would be nervous to do even the Diablo on my own. I'm afraid I would really screw something up and with no warranty at that point I would be S.O.L. I like the idea of the Diablo because it seems pretty straight forward. I wouldn't have even considered it until Ted J. said that I could email him some logs, he could customize a tune, and then re-send it back to me. I like that idea pretty good. I just might go the Diablo path with help from Ted...but not on my own. That is unless someone can give me a little HP Tuners 101 explaination and gain some good confidence with it. Even then.....I don't know???? Don't really want to learn on my Camaro.
