WAKE UP!
I'm wide awake! I looked for 2 monthes to get mine! Still, they wanted 2500 premium for the 1lt! Maybe in your market they are avail. For MSRP buy not in Palm Beach!

I just get soooooo tired of the whole "just get a V8" crap... the OP asked how to make his V6 faster... Not "will someone tell me I should have got a SS" for the millionth time, ad nauseam...

Why to people feel they just have to add "get a V8"... his car, his money... if you don't have anything more constructive than "should have got a V8" perhaps you shouldn't hit "Submit Reply"...

end of rant..

well its true v8 is the way to go if u want a faster v6 get a ss1 there only a few more thousand then the v6 plus you dont want to void your warrenty by adding all that crap sell your car you will still get a good price for it. Face it people will pay top dollar for it right now and get on the list for a v8 and you will pay msrp but dont wait to long once the price drops on that v6 you will be stuck with it so make yourself happy and get a v8 ill have mine in 3 weeks i cant wait

Only a few thousand more IF you were getting a 2LT. For those who ordered an LS, for example, the difference is 8,000.

That would pay for a lot of mods.

I'll agree that the V8 is better for ultimate performance potential, but, especially when you consider how cheap a brembo swap is on the V6 and how well priced a pedders upgrade would be, I stand by what I've said in the past that, once tuning is available, if you want stripper performance at the lowest price the LS or 1LT is the way to go.

Happy for you about your V8. This has been suggested over and over...."sell your car and get a V8 for just a few thousand more." Cars depreciate, period. You can't sell a 30K LT and get what you paid out of it. Trade you are looking at 26K, maybe you could get 28K in trade. Add the extra cost of the V8 and it isn't "a few thousand."

If I where you i would wait until a turbo comes out, and then see what other mods the turbo supplier recommends to dail in. Then you will reach your goal and also out run some if these V-8 blow hards at the same time. Good Luck.

Yes the SS is awesome, has tons of potential and has the goods right out of the gate. Got it. But why not tweak the v6 if that's what you have?

I have yet to hear anyone who has ridden in my car tell me how slow or weak-kneed it is. For a 6, this thing hauls, so why not try to improve it further? I don't see a lot of the SS owners riding their fellow v8 drivers about the superchargers and turbos. I mean, aren't the stock v8 cars fast enough?

I don't plan to break the bank with performance mods... yet. Maybe in a couple/few years when TT kits are well-tested and I am ready for a change of pace. Would be awesome to have SS power with the mileage of the 6.
