I have the GM/MTX subs in my SS. Here is picture (this is trunk view from rear - actual unit does have wire cage over subs). They are 10" subs with 200 AMP system in box that was designed for Camaro truck. Sounds great, still plenty of room in back, get to battery just fine and only downside is you can't really use pass thru to back seat from trunk any more (never did anyway because trunk opening too small to put anything that would require you to use it anyway). Really fills out sound spectrum if you like music loud or soft.

My Trunk...

I opted to go with a higher power single 10" in mine (Alpine R10 w/ RF Power 550S). I can still access the spare tire well and the trunk pass through (not that I ever use it), and the weight isn't that much (30 lbs maybe)

I think I am going to redo this, but with the same basic idea.

gonna put 2 12's in the back and call it a day.. I like a little noise to piss off the older turds... This isn't my everyday driver so i'm not worried about being fast... If i wanted to be fast i would buy a vette.. The camaro looks good and has enough speed.. Just gotta add the "bump" in the trunk... lol

Really like this, is it a one off custom or something you can purchase(the box).

Hi. I'm in the process of ordering 2SS Camaro 6 speed. Orange with orange and black interior. Couple of queations if you don't mind. I set down with the admistrative manager and we did a work sheet but he couldn't find anything on there for ordering the optional subwolfer. (which I'm fine with what GM is putting out) Does any one know why this is? He's going to make some calls tomorrow to see how he orders the sub since it is an option available. Also some say the orange seats are more reddish. Would someone please chime in if the color is off so much that it looks bad or is it acceptable. I really want to opt for the two tone interior. Thanks

The subwoofer is available from parts dept. You can probably do better if you research this site. I originally had the IOM interior option in my 2SSRS IOM /CGM rally stripes. Took it out cause I just thought it might be too much orange leather.

It is currently not available as a factory option, only as a Chevrolet Accessory. GM Part number is 92213214.

On the GM subs, when you pull the rear seat down, there is a knob on the speaker box to adjust the intensity of the bass so that it equalizes it to your taste without destroying the sound of your other speakers.
