To be exact, you get the headlights/halos, tail lights, painted roof ditch molding, and differently painted wheels.

imo its not woth the 1200 for all that. i went with the polished wheels so the wheel being painted is out. so its headlights, tail light lens and painted roof ditch molding. i have seen kits to add the headlights a lot cheaper.

But how are the quality of these kits? And they aren't covered by your warranty like a "normal" RS package's lights are. And if you aren't car-savvy, you would have to buy them and have them installed - how much would that be?

And you're entitled to your own opinion. However, the $1200 is the fee for the Camaro-specific HIDs + halos, alone, so in my opinion, the RS package is worth it.

I will say, though, that my RS package didn't cost $1200.

Does the RS package include RS badging instead of SS? If this is the case, I may skip it since I think I want the SS badging, and the polished, not painted wheels (I think). Am brand new here today getting my feet wet... thanks in advance for your help.

Someone will hopefully chime in that knows but I do know the SS on the front is white if you do not have the RS package but is red if you do.

like johnny said, the SSRS is a red SS badge, the non-rs is white, i can confirm cause i was just at my local chevy dealership yesterday looking at 2 ss's side by side, only 1 of them had the RS package.

No. The SS model has the SS badge front and rear. If the SS has the RS package, the color of the SS emblem is changed to red.

Confirmed. I have a 2SS with the RS package and the front badge is red. 1200 hundred is a small price to pay for professional installation. It's easy to spot the differences if one know what to look for. For me, my dealer had multiple 2SS's, some with the package, some without. Parked in the lot, side by side, the differences are easy to spot.

To each his/her own though.
