camaro ss vs 08 m5
i am getting a magna flow exhaust, and a intake, and some sort of tuning device... i got a couple of kids/friends who wanna setup some drag races at the drag strip
 .. next spring i live in MI so we are waiting till the spring.i am going up against a 09 g37(M), 08 350z(M), 05 350z(M), 09 evo(M), 08 m5 (auto), 08 charger super bee ( auto) we are racing 1/4 mile.. .. i think i should be able to take every car stock, but the m5 the m5 - 500 hp and i think about 380TQ so it is lacking a little TQ for 500 hp what do you guys think it would take to have a clean win against the m5 ??? Evo's gotta watch out if they upped the Turbo, I had one shock the hell out of me the other day. I wasn't fully pushing the car, but pretty close and this Evo just got a little ahead of me, I was quite pissed. First time that happened, so I'm starting with throwing my intake on.

Definately take it to the track.
Secondly, at the very least you need a full exhaust (with long tubes) and a good tune. That will help a lot. Beyond that a nice cam package or a shot of Nitrous would be helpful. |

Race at the track. If you want this thread to stay unlocked, you probably should edit the original post. It is against site rules to post about street racing. It is not only dangerous to you but to others on the road that you cannot predict or see. If you race at the track, the odds of civilian injury are reduced substantially.

thanks guy for the help... just to to let everyone know the new evos are about as fast as a 350z ..... 300hp 290 Q... i think you guys are think about the twin turbo evo that you cant buy in the US

Drag Strip = Track right? just read his post. But are you going against modded Evo's and chargers or are they stock?

I know lol I just don't understand why there are so many post saying "take it to a track" when you say your going haha but Ok you will just have to worry about the M5 which will destroy your car stock unless you equip longtubes to full exhaust, Tune, and nitrous :-) lol but even a nice Cam, longtubes and a tune should get you up there
