Convince me if you can.

Hello all. I registered here to find some opinions. Opinions on what you ask? Well I'm currently looking at all 3 of the newer American muscle cars. And I'm all but sold on getting one of the Challenger models. I've tested the Mustangs and Camaro's as well. As a note, I went into this wanting a Challenger and after all my test rides and observations I still want the Challenger over Mustang or Camaro. But I'm here to see if there is anyone who would try lay out a convincing reasons why I should re-think about a Camaro. This is a major purchase for me no matter what one I choose so I look forward to any advice.

Thanks.

Let's see what's the best in the following things:

Power to Weight Ratio = Camaro
Price To Power Ratio = Camaro
Weight = Camaro
HP = Camaro
1/4 Mile = Camaro
0-62 = Camaro

challengers sides are ugly they gave up too early on the design and forgot to think about the side panels, very boring no ones buying challengers , I'd be surprised if they dont disscontinue them you cant keep making cars that only sell about 1500 a month.

If you have the extra $15K++ for a SRT8 or a GT500 then you can get something to compete with the Camaro SS. I am VERY happy with the QUALITY of car I have versus the QUANTITY of money I spent for her!

Choose wisely!

Challenger SRT8 has 425 HP and weighs in at about 4,200 and built on a 7 year old platform. The Camaro (1)SS costs $12,000 less has the same power, weighs less, and has a better interior, exterior, suspension, EVERYTHING.

The only way you'd buy a Challenger is if you knew nothing about cars at all and just buy cars because you "like how it looks".

Funny. I drove a Mustang, a Challenger, and a Camaro before deciding and I found the Camaro to drive the best of the 3. It cornered better and just felt better all around. I must admit, going in to the test drive, I like the looks of the Camaro the best, but I wanted to be smart about this decision so I drove them all.

For me the Camaro was a no brainer.

Get what you like best.

I see that both links on your posts go to a Mustang enthusiast site. You also point out that you want a Challenger. Neither of these is the Camaro, which is the topic of this site. You further expect us to convince you to get a Camaro despite your apparent loyalty to the Mustang and your desire to purchase a Challenger. Being that this is your first post, this leads me suspect that you are here to troll. Please prove me wrong.

Trolling aside, I'll tell you this. If you really want a Challenger, get a Challenger. Only you know what car is best for you. If you don't want a Camaro, that's okay. We tend to prefer the Camaro here, but we respect other cars as well, and we welcome you to our forum.

As far as the Camaro is concerned, the facts are that it is faster than both cars you've considered and it has better overall reviews than either car with the exception of the occasional review that grades "coolness" because those are heavily biased. Appearance is a preference, so feel free to pick that based upon your own preferences. Almost every other aspect of the car can be customized without excessive expense, so the stock ratings for audio and luxury are unimportant.

Pick what you like. :seesaw:
