Oh man that bites........ I don't know what I would have done....

Mine was the first one to come in at the dealership and they parked it inside and let only employees see it untill I got there to pick it up......
When I was looking it over and checking it out we had a guy ask if he could take it for a test drive....WHAT?????? because he was interested in one......my sales man said politely no you can't. We may have one you can sit in a week or so.......
Beside I hadn't even driven it yet!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks Aby - It was loaded on the flat bed about 5 hours ago. Not for the dent - Long story but they are taking it back to try and have the cluster/Tac fixed.....this has been ongoing for 2 months. Car is still new to the service and fix world, but the dealer has been great. They offered to flat bed it to keep me from putting 300 more miles on it to get it back to them. I said OK
Hope she is back home tonight

AND THE DREADED CALL!!!!!!

well just got of the phone with my dealership...
Dealer - "Mr. P..... we can not fix the dent with the paintless dent repair that we do."

Mr. P - "OK what can we do?"
Dealer - "Full repair - meaning, grinding bumping, re-painting door and rear fender"
Mr P - silence
Dealer - " Mr. P you there?
Mr P - "Yes I am here"
Mr P - "I need a drink to think about this one"
Dealer - "I would to Mr P"
Mr P - "Just fix the Tac and send me back my car"
Dealer - "Sorry I did't have better news Mr P, we will get her back to you soon.
Mr P - "thanks"..

I just knew it............. I don't have enough Crown in the house for this one......owe well

Was parking in a strip of stores for some pizza and had this feeling that I should park away further then normal that day.. I just had this feeling so I pretty much parked all by my self in the middle of the huge parking lot. Well, got out and ate some food only to come out to see that someone HAD to park right next to me, this blue piece of shit. So I slowly walk up to the car and what do I see on the passenger side door... A serious ding on the door along with some deep scratches to the metal :O WTF!!! He had the nerve to stay next to me too after he beat up my car. Well, You know how children draw all over construction paper?.... well lets just say his car door looked similar to that with the sharpest key I had. You have to have alot of nerve to park next to a nice car and just disrespectfully slam your door open and not care after hitting it. So, in the end I really dont care that his car looks 1000 times worst and if I had more time I would have did the tires and smashed the windows. Remember people... Parked far from everyone, had it 2 months and shining like a mirror... imagine..

Here's my ding...

I don't even know how or when it happened. It's pretty minor, but it still bugs me that it's there. The front bowtie costs $35.34 to replace through the dealership. I haven't ordered it yet, as I'm trying to decide whether or not to black out the bowties (front and back).

What do you think? Will black bowties look good on a RJT 2SS?

I use clear plastic edge covers for my doors, but it still won't help getting dings from other car doors.

Yup--water spots...I almost went back to clean them off and retake the pic...and then thought, "oh, what the heck--no one will notice!" LOL

Same thing happened to my Toyota Tundra. Went to dealer then right home, picked up the wife and went to Outback for a steak. Next morning I find a GOUGE in the right side behind the door. Ripped the paint right off to the metal.

I blamed the dealer.

Got some free service work and touch up paint. Even if they did not scratch it they were jerks and deserved to be blamed.

Check this out. Everytime I park way out in the lot some jerk parks next to me and I bitch all the way home about it. Well me and the family take the minivan to toys r us last week. I park in the farthest spot so we can get all 3 kids out safely. As my wife is getting my daughter out some dumbass tries to park right next to us. I LOST IT. I jumped in front of the car and yelled OH HELL NO. Go park some place else. He just stared at me. I thought that was it. Then he kept trying to park there. I pounded on his window and told him to get the hell out of here. He backed out and parked elsewhere.

People are idiots.

Turns out he was a toys r us cashier. Freakin moron almost ran over my wife and daughter. I should have beat his ass on principle alone.

Did they give you a reason why their dent removal person couldn't get the dent out? Can they improve the dent even if they can't remove all of it?

I'd take it to another dent repair shop and have them look at it before letting anyone perform body work on it.

Brass musical instruments which play well may be heavily used and eventually develop their share of lacquer or plating loss, dings, dents, scratches, etc. The instruments that are kept in pristine condition do not necessarily play well and can even fall suspect as not being very good playing instruments.

You can even buy new guitars which have an already weathered and worn finish - lending an air of credibility to the player. (Of course, everyone knows the true story once they hit the strings...)

Instead of getting angry about these things happening, maybe take the perspective that these cosmetic imperfections earn the driver street cred that their car is the real deal - not a useless trophy left in a glass case.

Wear your battle scars proudly!

... of course if I catch anyone damaging my Camaro, I'll take them on a very long ride deep into the woods once I manage to stuff them (and my trusty shovel) past the awkward trunk opening. After disengaging the safety latch, of course...

I had my car for less than a week when I noticed someone had dinged the front fascia and creased the bottom air dam.

Funny thing is that I had only had it at my house in the driveway and at my work. At my job I had parked it in the last spot with grass on one side and in front of me. So there is no way that anyone could have hit me there.

I took it to Buffalo Wild Wings for less than 2 hours but parked far out. When I went in no one was around me and when I left no one was around me. So I don't believe it happened there.

So, I'm thinking that it may have happened at the dealership and I just simply didn't notice it when I took delivery (since it is subtle). Of course, what can I do about it; I figured nothing so I'm just living with it.
