Thanksgiving Weekend

Denver Camaro report: I saw none.

We played in a hockey tournament in Denver over Thanksgiving. What a blast! My son's team was in first place at the start of finals and made it to the championship game. I am totally counting the whole weekend as cardio! It was so intense. The kids really battled it out. The best part is the championship game:

First period: Tied 1-1 Total Nail Biter!

Second period: Beginning of the period, one of the Evil Teams players crashed into our goalie knocking him down and into one of the goal posts. Shortly after, the Evil Team scored 2 goals. During the second period, our goalie puked in the net. He hung in there as long as he could...to the end of the second period. We put our other goalie in and changed sides. It worked out that our goalie got the "clean" goal net while the opposing goalie got to enjoy the "scenery."

Third Period: We hung in there. Second goalie did a great job for coming of the bench cold.

Conclusion: Fortunately, it didn't appear to be a concussion that took our goalie out. Unfortunately, we lost the championship game, but it was so cool to see the kids make it as far as they did. The winning team's parents were really gracious, very sportsman like. That said, we look forward to playing that team again in March 2010....

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

P.S. Go Utes! Even though I'm a BYU graduate (shocking, I know...but I added spice to their lives!).

We all know why BYU fans love away games (forgive me):

So i was out getting a loto ticket with my mom a couple nights ago. And on the way back a lifted truck full of red-neck teens kept racing ahead of me and slowing down in the lane next too me. This was at midnight, and after about 2 miles of my mom sitting in the passenger seat embarrased for being next to them, i dropped the car into 3rd and was gone..... The kids in the truck didn't try to catch up, even after i slowed below the speed limit to laugh at them, they seemed to slow down just as much. ha ha.

here is the link for the fuse pull mod for the L99 not sure you need it for the Ls3

I remember this now. This was a fix for under-performing L99 engines when the first tank of gas that went through was 85 or 87 Octane instead of the recommended 91 or higher. Apparently the ECM wont correctly reset it's octane tables even after several hundred miles of driving with the correct octane. To fix it you pull a couple of fuses for a while till the memory in the ECM clears. Put the fuses back in and you are back in business. I don't know if the LS3 would even need the fix. The problem happens when the dealers put a tank full of low octane gas in because they were ignorant of what the SS Camaros require. Most know by now. Now, back away from the car, slowly, no quick moves, that's the way......

I'd give it more time. These engines are tight out of the box and need a couple thousand miles.... You'll be good to go!

The fuse pull helps you more than just the first tank of gas too, it resets the computer to the ideal performance. I did the fuse pull first around 700 miles, I've never put anything other than Chevron premium in it (and thats what Murdock [where I bought it from] uses too).

One of my dyno rounds, I ran it twice, the first run was like 314, or something, second was like 310, so I pulled the fuse for 5 minutes to see what it would do, and it immediately did a 321 or something, even though its always had premium....

I've heard it also helps the LS3s, but not that big of a difference.

---------

Went out late last night and snapped a couple pictures with my sister, the moon is too bright to get some cool star pictures, but here is the best one, still pretty cool...
Its hard to believe it was 11:00pm, and really dark...
