.... So he gets 28 mpg in the city lol?

If you drive like your being followed by a cop the gear's probably don't effect mpg too much.... but why put the gear's in if your going to drive like that?

Tell me, whats better engineered a $20,000 engine which makes 414 hp or a $6000 engine (with proven reliability) that makes at least as much power with better fuel economy, in heavier cars?
Depends on which engine can take more of a beating/boost/nitrous, forged stuff etc...

5.4 liter gt500 engine can hold upwards of 800hp with no internal modifications.
again depends on how the engine is built and what it was built for.

Really? A turbo costs as much as more displacement? And its utterly impossible to add forced induction to a large V8?

No i said they were better in the city, but he gets that on the highway in 5th.. and he doesn't drive like he is being followed by a cop, but then again who bases MPG ratings on going fast.?

have you ever gotten 28mpg racing down the highway or after a day at the strip? i think not lol

All out build = fully forged internals, custom cam shafts, everything

dont get upset now, look at my sig- i LOVE the LS motors, its even what i do for a living. yet we also drive and do Evos, 911's, M3's, hell even Mini's!

all im saying- ive got a 600+ RWHP truck, it runs 11s on 24" wheels... it gets 19 mpg @ 75 mph. IMO its very impressive and a good example of the blank canvas of an already impressive 400 hp package that is the LS. BUT i have a 2.0 liter cobalt ss i paid less than $20k for brand new, spent $600 and it runs high 12s. gets over 32 mpg on the highway, high 20s in the city. thats all im saying, no insult to the LSx here

Why anyone would buy a V6 Challenger over a V6 Camaro or Mustang is beyond me.

While Ford and GM are giving their V6 buyers a very impressive car, Dodge left their V6 guys with a slug.
