The all-new 5.0L V8 powerplant is said to have 400 horsepower and 400 ft-lbs of torque. The new 5.0L V8 has been rumored for quite sometime and comes as no surprise to Mustang fans who knew Ford would have to do something to keep up with the new Challenger SRT8 and 2010 Camaro SS. Ford has made no official announcement on the new 5.0L V8 as we expect it to stay that way until sometime in 2010. With the refreshed 2010 Mustang GT coming with the 4.6L V8 in a few months Ford would not want to hinder sales of their new pony car by releasing info on the new 5.0L V8."

I wasnt off by the power, lol

hmmm... 32 valves eh?
Should be one spicy meatball!!

wow, really some of you are trying to say that the little engines can keep up with the big engines?
HA
just look on the cover page at the 10.36 camaro...
but i mean seriously.... ls7 has the capability to make tons of power as with any ls engine
the more displacement the more power you are capable of obtaining
now if you have engineering with displacement AKA LS SERIES ENGINE
look at the power they make....

5.0 Cammer is a totaly different engine. In fact the Cammer is already out and can be bought thru Ford Racing. The Coyote is a different design altogether.

Geez, once again, same ole BS, except this time it's the Mustang. Funny, I have both of the evil, scary, threatening muscle cars that have the ability to cause such a ruckus - smelly, ugly, slow cars. And the Camaro is so superior. Hilarious!

Sorry but 800+ HP and running 10.36 is not that impressive.

i'd say let him make the tweaks he's planning on doing, give him a little more practice in the seat, and see what he's runnin in a few days

Sure, if you take two identical engines, and obtain more displacement from one, then yes, that more displaced engine is more capable. Yet, this doesn't mean that if you have two engines, then the one with more displacement is faster. That is a logical fallacy.
