they stopped making them, then once the existing stockpile ran out (which was probably hundreds of thousands) that was it

I didn't know about this. I took mine off right after I got my Camaro back in June. I'm glad I kept 'em though!

Glad to hear they finally stopped putting that crap on. When I ordered my 2007 Canyon I had the hair dryer out and they were off within 45 minutes after I took delivery. I'd already told a guy at the dealership that he could have mine off the camaro I just ordered when it comes in. I guess I won't have to deal with that again. Thanks for the info folks.

People crack me up. People love the Camaro. They buy it, clean it more than they do their own sack, flaunt it and love the attention they get in it. But they absolutley hate the symbol of quality that's placed upon it by the company that built it.......
I don't get it.

deleted them. Put one on my grill and put one on the inside of my hood next to the "performance division" placard.
I believe I'll be shaving the "Camaro" lettering this weekend as well. Looks sleek without (imo on my black car anyway). |

Their PR department found that the general public had a poor opinion of the GM brand due to the bankruptcy & bailout, but the individual brands like Chevrolet didn't produce the same reaction for some reason.

Actually they have been redesigned and everyone that has bought a GM car for the last 8 months will be getting a recall to exchange them for the new design... Instead off having GM for General Motors, they will have OM for Obama Motors...
Just joking of course.. They did away with them because if those cost about 5 bucks a pair.. (I know if you order replacements it is more) that would save alot of money over a years production...
