Money buys a win in this industry. Supercharged camaro against a stock C6. Big deal like comparing a saleen mustang to a stock GT.

SO...what was the cost of making the Camaro a "9.9" out of 10? $2,000?

I have a hunch, but prefer to work through your eyes. Can you please get your Camaro front end up on jack stands or at the Dealers so you can get a good look at where the top of the front coil seats to the strut mount and tell me what you see? A picture would be helpful.

(was and is a very big issue guys do your research)
Since you are having a great time making a lame attempt so slam Pedders, the Camaro you are referring to has bushings that were not installed correc tly, plus it appears the installer did not use any lubrication. I will also tell you they used other bushing companies as well. The Pedders bushings installed were the diff bushings and the cradle insert bushings. The diff bushings are definately installed incorrectly. I can tell because the picture on the thread shows the diff out of the car, which is not required to replace the bushings, and I can physically see the rear bushings are incorrect. They did not follow the installation instructions included. Plus when MTI checked the suspension, they told the owner the bushings are making noise. They did not tell him which ones were. They installed aftermarket links in there which will have a hole lot more movement which would more likely be a noisy bushing than a cradle or a diff.

So cool your jets and think twice before opening your mouth and insulting yourself.

Your now changing to the tough guy. Not a way to treat potential customers there mikey. Many of the G8 guys have complaints as well should I bring them on here as well. Wouldn't be good on pedders. So don't try the Mr. Tough guy on me. Been around this industry along time and know alot of people. Just get your facts straight or get out.

Hey, on another note. Do you guys make a set up like this for the corvette and if so, how does it compare to the camaro? My dad's a corvette guy and would like to know.

There are tons of things that can make noise in the front end. A great tool that most good GM dealerships have are called "Chassis Ears" There are up to 5 or 6 wireless microphones that they can attach them to various points and drive and listen to each one.

Now one of the big hotspots if you will in the front end is the sway bar and end links. they can see if the end links are loose. It is pretty easy to remove the end link and road test it to see if the noise is gone to isolate the sway bar assembly.

You can look carefully at the coils to see if there is any contact between the coils. The G8 was noted for making coil bind noises. Adding spring wrap could help.

It is possible to have the brake pads rattle inside the calipers.

You could also have a bad strut.

You should make sure all 4 of the lower balljoints are not only tight, but have no vertical or horizontal movements.

the dealership has the abilitiy thru technical assistance to have a local field engineer come out if the dealership is not capable of diagnosing. Did they call Technical Assistance? Most dealerships will take the easy way out if you allow them. If the noise is bad and bothers you emensely, you need to file a complaint with Chevrolet Customer Service, and insist on esculating the noise complaint to a higher resolution.

So these are some ideas. Hope it helps.

but more emphasis needs to be placed on trying to isolate left front, right front, left strut or right strut, etc.

thanks

Gotta say I agree with this!
I think everyone needs to use a little common sense here!
Where did the "data", and I use the term loosely, come from on the first post?
Same tires, same day, same temp, same air pressure?
Seems like a lot of hokey doke!

What we posted as data is exactly what the technicians recorded with TWO reporters watching as well as numerous civilians. We set the cold air pressures on each car. Look the the differences hot. Check the rotor and caliper tempuratures. There are huge differences.

That said, everyone is free to form thier own opinions.
