I have the same issue on my CGM built 7/31. Passenger rear facsia where it meets the metal quarter panel. I noticed it at 1100 miles (1/4") and now it's getting worse (1/2") at 1250. I guess I'll call the dealer tomorrow.

Yeah, mine is IOM and I had the same problem as well. Dealership fixed mine and it looks great, but I'm gonna keep a close eye on that spot after hearing all this.....Seems to be happening on just the roll, the body guy said he's seen it on the Malibu, on the front bumber, so keep an eye on those areas too....Same spot as the rear, just on the roll where they meet

From the pics I have seen, It looks like the paint on the bumper (lower) portion has the adhesion problem. Aren't the front and rear lower fascias painted separately by a supplier and attached to the factory painted body?

I was following this thread regarding commonly missing paint from inner area around the headlights and someone suggested that these parts come from outside the factory PAINTED:

It's happening on mine. VIN 43192 and it is RJT

I noticed it after 300 miles actually. Drove it to and from Florida, and it hasn't gotten any worse.

another yellow one

for some reason, this problem seems to be common on yellow camaros only. ive red a couple of red ones but not nearly as much as yellow ones seem to have it.

maybe the paint used is at fault

I have the same issue on the left side of the front fascia.. I have IOm and the dealer doesn't have a body shop connected. I will have to take it to a body shop on my own..

i think you should just take it to another dealer. From what ive read on these boards, they're fixing that under warranty. Let them take care of it. Otherwise if you take it to get fixed yourself, you'll have to pay the third-party body shop and then give the invoice to the dealer and wait around to see IF they reimburse you.

Having bad paint issues on our red camaro, paint is peeling like in previous pictures but in nine different places!Took to dealer three times for pictures, sent me to body shop for estimates they said my whole car needs to be stripped and repainted. Two different body shops, same opinion!Dealership giving runaround.Hopefully they come through for me!!!!

Thumbs down After 3,000 miles...

...my paint peeled at the same seam. Mine is also a Rally Yellow car. I took it to the dealership today. They gave me a rental and told me it would be fixed. I also took them a copy of the service bulletin below (posted by another board member). I'll update on how well it was fixed after I get it back.

Well, the dealership screwed up the mounting tabs on my original bumper cover (did't fit flush to the quarter panels), so they're buying me a whole new cover. Should be getting put on Monday the 22nd.
