My car was produced last week, I take delivery in days...

I posted this on another link: (new text below)

Well gentlemen, I am taking delivery of my Summit White 2010 2LT manual sometime this week! It left Oshawa on Monday and it's now Wednesday! As I live in Montreal, it would seem that tomorrow it may arrive at my Chevy dealer. It's very close to snowing here, so I will certainly have interesting pictures and videos of my experiences with the 2010 Camaro in the Quebec snow storms. YES, this is my daily driver, my recently departed second gen Camaro couldn't muster the control for any snow, so a modern Camaro for me!

Here's hoping it doesn't go to NEXT week!

eB

Addendum to my Canadian brothers and sisters:

It's funny that the warmer weather is favoring my delivery time as it's quite warm here in Montreal right now. The car is on a truck heading my way and should theoretically be in Montreal tonight being dropped off at Plaza Chevy. I ordered a Summit White 2LT with the aluminium wheels and also ordered a full set of 18" Heritage wheels with winter rubber that I specified as slim as possible at 215/65 R18. This may look a little slim, but it will have better snow traction. With the addition of OEM mud guards it should look pretty unique! I have no stripes whatsoever, so it will be a clean and simple look.

I will let all know how my experiences with the Camaro go in our usually hard winters. I plan on taking videos and pics of the snow performance of the car for all to see. I know that you fellow Canadians will be interested, I wonder how the Americans in the southern states will view this uniquely Canadian car ownership experience...

see you all soon!

eB

The perma-grin effect pictured above by a good buddy giving me a ride in my Camaro!
Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

Keep us in the loop, Canadian brother! My Camaro will be arriving in the spring, but I'm very much interested in winter performance. ESPECIALLY in our White North winters.

Congratulations on an awesome car!!!

Mind if I ask, how much did those 18" and tires run you for? I am seeing if it is something I should do, or slap on the winter tires onto the 20" rims.

Congrats on the car, pics are a must when they are delivered!

Thanks to all for sharing in my excitement! I will post all details of the accessories prices shortly, but from memory I think the heritage wheels were about $1200 with all the trim rings and center cap. I will call my Chevy dealer this am to see if it arrived late last night.

Welcome to the family! Mine's coming in the spring so I'm jealous. :( I hope the warm weather hangs around for ya so you can have a few good trips around before the snow comes.

$1,200 for the rims, TPM and winter rubber? That is pretty good!

WELL I SAW HER TONIGHT! Yes indeed she has arrived! It's being winterized and will be ready tomorrow! I the winter wheels are on, the mud guards are installed. Tomorrow the "trio" of services I ordered are being performed: Anti-Rust prevention, paint clearcoat and leather treatment.

There were some "issues" with the dealer regarding agreed interest rates and pricing issue, but I was able to get what I wanted. It's like they have a game of things to max thier profits... *SIGH* some things never change...

Regardless, the car is mine tomorrow and it's nice a warm for December, amazingly! The summer wheels have yet to see the road, but those 19"s will sit in wait until springtime. Meanwhile, we will see how this puppy handles herself in the winter months ahead.

I just might be able to do the Tutti Frutti in DDO on Sunday! The family loves a nice breakfast place on weekends! Where exactly is it again? I will google earth it to find out. How many Camaros are about and still on the road this late in the season?

Best,e
