NJ/DE members meet and brave the winter for a charitable cause

As featured on Homepage.

I would like to thank ALL you guys for showing up and donating as much as you did we have well over 200 Items. This was by far the biggest donation the facility has seen. Sorry G-Man & Mrs G-Woman, but you def missed some smiles today but we know why you couldn't make it and I appreciate you taking the time to come out and drop of your Items.

This gathering was much more than a meet to a lot of people, staff and kids. Daina was overwhelmed with happiness that we stuck to our commitment for the kids. Quick story, I call up the Facility to let them know we are coming and the first thing out of their mouth "you guys are canceling?" , I said " No i am actually calling to do the opposite and warn you we are coming in and coming in hot!". So none the less the weather we all know could have been better but look at it this way it was snowing right outside the window as we gave the gifts and visited with the children. Sorry for some of you who missed out on CB breakfast. But it was GOOD just in case you wanted to know. We ended up having 16-18 people eating at CB.

Before I put up some pics and the links to the ones i load up to PhotoBucket.

Jim-Jims69ss, Had special moment with A'Shaun! Jim had a gift for one lucky kid, and that gift was a Toy Truck carrying our very own 2010 Camaro. This gift was from Jim's private collection and let me tell you A'Shaun was super excited to get that gift. He was so crazy about it that he wouldn't let the staff touch it. So that just goes to show you how far you guys went with making someone else Christmas special! We cannot post the picture that we took with Jim and A'Shaun because of Facility rules, but Jim will have a copy to keep with his collection now. Thanks Jim.

There were some many other moments that included different children like Joshua, CC and Jenny. There were more but I will let other people share their experience that they had with the kids. I know it was hard for some to see children in that state but just think what the impact was of just your interaction with them.

So once again you guys continue to impress with your support for the cause. Here are some photo's and i have a link to the rest I took. Enjoy and thanks again to everyone who was apart of the special event that is know know as Camaro's @ Christmas!

Hey Guys & Gals, thanks for the understanding. I guess it was just my turn to come down with this cold, it,s been a long time since I,ve had one. Must double-up on my Ester-C this winter. My wife and I were very disapointed we couldn,t see the smiles of these children, however, seeing the looks on your faces in the photos was ,I,m sure, the reflection of all those children whose hearts we touched with these gifts. You all have our deepest appreciation for what you did in coming together today, in the Snow & Rain, to show these kids what Cam5 are really about. I hope everyone returned home safely. To those of you who were out for the first time, I,m sorry we couldn,t get to meet & talk longer @ cracker barrel, I just didn,t want any of you catching my cold. See you all @ next event. I see Damion made it out (CGM-w/ORANGE inlays), great looking car, I gave him one of our Cam5 spotted cards 2weeks ago when I saw him washing his car, invited him out, thanks for coming. G,d Bless & enjoy the holidays. The G-Man & Wife.

I also want to thank everyone who took the time and dedication out of there weekend to participate in this event and help out these underprivlidged children. it was a pleasure for me to be there and share this event with all who contributed, regardless of the weather conditions...THIS WAS FOR THE KIDS AT CHRISTMAS. I hope all of you and your Families have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....This just goes to show that even how times are now with the economy and people being unemployed, WE AS A GROUP MADE AN EFFORT TO HELP OUT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE....KUDO'S TO ALL !!!!!! Now if i only had a pic of my car under my screen name, Christmas will be Merry...SPACEBALLONE......Kudo's to Spaceball also for organizing this event and for making run so smoothly....Keep up the Good Work

As I was the only V6 in the midst of the V8's I must say I was surrounded by GIANTS...not because of the size of the engines but the size of the hearts. I could not believe all you SS drivers came out with those summer tires. OK, now that I am done with the Hallmark card, thanks to spaceballone for his kindness and attention to detail. I look forward to getting together again.

Exactly what my College Football coaches would say!! lol.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I just wanted the weather to be the only hitch in the plans but not even that could stop us! but this happened because of all you guys. I still can't believe how much it is snowing now. Thanks to all you guys that drove the extra time to meet up. For those that met us for the first time we normally have a good bunch that can make our meets and we plan on having more for the spring/summer (picnic's and cook outs) and such. So keep your eyes glued to the threads in the coming months. Hope all of you got home safe. Damn I wanna do it again! lol Happy Holidays (aww man 2 weeks til vacation!)

Spaceballone - Lowrie, thanks again for putting together this wonderful event for the Christmas holiday season. Just like the other events, you've out done yourself...Great job!

Jim69ss - Jim, a special shout out to you... You are a great guy with a great big heart!!!

My daughter and I had a great time with all of the CAM5 people. However, our special moment came when we sat down on the floor and played volley ball with the little girl Ciera. She was a sweetheart! I just hope that we brought her as much enjoyment, as she did for us.

In these tough times, I'm so very proud too be associated with such a great group of people. Wishing each and everyone a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

Looking forward to our next event... I posted more pictures in the other thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...24#post1251924
