Could have been worst. You were lucky to get your [brand new] car in one piece. But it worked for the best.

I've had several turbo cars before, and this design looks very nice and clean. I like how the return exhaust get split evenly before going back to muffler. As much I like PD S/C, I love turbos! It just gives you a different feel. Sometime I press the gas a small bit and hold it and watch how the turbo creates more power, but from that power the turbo spins more, generating more. It's like a snowball effect, and I'm still holding the same on the pedal. You won't see that with S/C. But the CATS put a real drag on the turbo.

They will be putting a meth kit on my car. So i am pretty sure it could be done.

I think ts going to be a 63mm size turbo. the 61mm ones are on the mustang. This motor is bigger so they are going to make it with the next step up turbo.
I'll check with Reg and Tyler but when I talked to them week before last it was a 61mm. Maybe that changed.

They did one for Jay Leno's car and Turbonetics has indicated a V6 kit will happen if they can make it CARB legal.

BTW, is there a dyno chart for this kit yet, running with stock manifold and stock exhaust? I like to see the TQ curve.

Thanks!

I should have a dyno sheet next week. The head designer and tuner was out the last half of last week so I should have more info tomorrow when he gets back. And yes Turbonetics is doing all their testing and tuning with the stock manifold and exhaust.

Could you please clarify (as I've made two pointers on the picture) what is the diameter of the tube from Turbonetics that connects to the stock system? The reason I ask, is if someone already has a set of headers that are 3", will it work? Or if someone is planning to get headers, they should match this size.

I don't recall the ID off the top of my head. It will be whatever the factory ID is as that should be the factory b pipes coming off the header.

Miaplaya, sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the price of the turbo, is it available for the LS3 yet, and is there some group buy that turbonetics might do?

Thanks

I don't have any pricing info. I'm not a vendor so I wouldn't even be able to give you a vendor price other then the Turbonetics posted MSRP. The kit is being wrapped up now. Last I checked they were getting finished parts for the car so they could do final test fitting, testing, and confirm the tuning. I'm going to call the Marketing Manager tomorrow and get some more details.
