BUY SNOWS! The Tire Rack has some very good packages.. Mine came mounted balanced and with Tire Pressure Monitors on all 4's for just under 1700.. All I had to do was swap em out. EASY fix for winter driving.. Now.. HOW you drive is another story.. Does take some skill.

People who driven rwd in areas that it snows often and know how to drive in the snow will be just fine with snow tires and maybe a couple of sand bags in the trunk. I have driven a 4th gen with summer tires that is modded close to 400hp in the snow before, its not going to handle like an awd subaru but most of the time you can get from point A to point B just fine. snow tires are essential.

not every state uses salt, CT uses sand

Real snow here two feet my drive rises about a story in the distance of a normal drive and was once again poorly plowed. My Civic takes 1 to 2 hours to get up this drive, my Buick requires planning. The Camaro however rolled up like one of thoes cog trains. Snow Tires win.

I live in Calgary, Alberta... Canada.

I'm getting the LS so it comes with the standard All Season Tires. Should I still get Winter Tires? Or are the all seasons quite good?

Thanks,

Carter

About $182 per tire from tirerack for the blizzacks which are the number 1 tire recommended by consumer reports.

Should handle GREAT !!!

Heck, I'd bet you could get at least a 3000 RPM launch.

Let me know how it goes.

P.S. -- supposed to be in the 60's today. I think I am going to give her a bath and a coat of Zaino.

There are two things that determine how well a driver and an automobile can get around in snow and ice:

(1) contact with the surface (type of tires and how many are powered)

(2) the intelligence of the driver

Since many 4X4s made for snow traction have accidents, and many rear wheel drive cars on summer tires do fine without having an accident, I would say (2) above is the most important.
