FYI, to the guy with the Black Camaro RED SS and the ground effects package, I parked beside you at WestEdmonton mall near the waterpark. This is only the third siting of a 2010 Camaro I've seen since the meet back in september.

I cant wait for the next meet in the spring, there will be hordes of Camaros!

Bluch, how are the tires on the snow?

Shaun
Tires have been fine so far. But after todays 30cm of snow, this will be the real test...haha

So I ended up getting stuck five times on the way home from work! 97th street was a gong show man. I had to keep shifting between traction control on and off because with it on, I would get stuck much more easily.

However, once you get going on the road, turn traction control on to keep your vehicle from fishing all over the place.

I fish tailed into a curb twice :( It was very very slow (5km) then it got going again.

I looked for damage but couldnt see any on the rim or on the ground effects.

Ya sounds like you guys are getting quite the storm. I drove my first 2010 Camaro tonight, and just as we pulled into the parking lot the snow started coming down so I hope it stays away for a while, or at least stays with all of you in Edmonton tonight!!

It's still snowing as of 10:30pm this evening. Infront of my house, I've measured about 10 inches of snow roughly, and 5-6 inches in non drift and as high as 25 inches in some of the drifts across the field.

My Cammy is now undriveable as the snow would just hang it up and I'm sure I'd damage the ground effects if I was to take it to work tomorrow :(

Sounds like I'm in for a treat tomorrow!

I'll be in Edmonton tomorrow... But I love driving in the snow!

I don't have a Camaro yet, but I never use the 4x4 on my Blazer, lmao

luckily i have a truck that i get to drive to and from work. so i dont have to worry about commuting in the Camaro. But, I have to go out tonight. So i guess im gonna have to see how the Camaro handles. Traction control can sometimes be very annoying, but also can help. Hopefully they have most of the main roads plowed by tonight!

Winter tires are doing their job....do very well on the main roads, a little sketchy on the side streets, but i get through the snow....overall very happy with the purchase

yep,, and still waiting for the dealership to get in the parts for the rear of the car so it can be fixed. Then the car is going away for winter to sleep untill April. I have a 4x4 truck as well but its not insured at the moment.

yea. if i could afford a second vehicle for winter i would. but i really can't. plus i pay enough a month for this one i might as well use it. i got the block heater and heated seats and remote start. so its really not that bad. just can't get through some of the side streets very easily. but once they get packed down a bit from other ppl i can navigate them ok. it kinda sucks, but its really not THAT bad.

With good winter tires, and some sand bags or other kind of weight in the truck...

You'll only have problems with the really deep snow.

I wouldn't add extra weight to the rear. It would mess up the weight balance which is very good on the Camaro. Extra weight in the rear worked on older front heavy cars with poor weight distribution without electronic stability control but not on newer better balanced cars.
