I ran a 12.7 with nothing more than a mild tune and CAI on my 2nd trip ever to the track with a manual car. Then drove it home enjoying my heated seat and Cadillac like ride all while using my bluetooth and listening to my iPod. The 4th guys used to say the LS1 Camaro looks like it would kick your ass and the WS.6 looks like it's on it's way to your house to do so. If that's the case then this car has already kicked your ass then taken your wife out to dinner. The more I drive it, the more I love it. It is so great of a car that I can't even remember what the little things are that used to annoy me. I miss it now that it's away for the winter. I never have had a possession I have loved so much.

Why the Camaro "Best for Me"

It's My Perm-a-Grin, need I say more, and I make alot of people around me smile where ever I go... So you know the car is best for me, been in a chair since 1982, and have had other hotrods, but have Two Camaros and the 2010 is outright BEST FOR ME! Thanks, And Bashers

30 something, married, 3 kids. Need I say more? Actually it's the 3rd Camaro I've owned (still have 2 of them). I love them. Hopefully there won't be as many speeding tickets in my future as there were in my past!

Very curious: how does that work having wife + 3 kids with a 2+2 seat car? If you want to say take a day trip to the mountains/beach - what do you do? Take another car?

At the Camaro's price points you could get more passenger and/or cargo capacity and/or a bit of luxury BUT you'll be losing out on performance and/or style (almost definately both IMO). For me the Camaro has enough passenger space, cargo space and luxury bits. Sure I would like slightly more room but the Challenger costs more and still ends up a bit short in performance while anything else at this price point loses even more performance. Of course more luxury is always nice but nothing missing is very important to me except perhaps adjustable height on the passenger seat and that's easy to overlook when you're in the driver's seat. Of course the fact that the car is just beautiful, this factor hard to put an exact value on but for a car like this it's definately a factor.

I'm not crazy about the design I doubt the RX-8 will look boring to me anytime soon.

Aside from the FJ I think Toyota's design team has proven you can make girly (sometimes a rather odd butch+girly) looking trucks & suv's.

It doesn't feel the same lookin at anything else.

Camaro's the best for me because just like it was with my Lady.

Love at first sight. A man knows what he "NEEDS" when he sets his eyes on it.

Except that my Camaro doesn't hog the blankets. And I don't get in trouble askin the old lady to join me and the Camaro for a ride.

We have a 2004 Yukon for getting groceries and hauling the kids around. Busy lives, so it's rare that all 5 of us get a chance to go anywhere together anyway. Those are the kinds of things I was saying to myself as I was signing the paperwork

The way my 12 year old has been acting lately, he can ride in the trunk... even if it's just the two of us!

Growing up, my neighbor had a 69 and man I loved it. It was kinda somewhere between ABM and IBM. I was actually naive enough to offer him money for it in highschool. He was kind and politely declined my offer instead of laughing in my face. Anyhow, I always wanted a 1st gen and thought I would eventually restore one myself. Prices on the shells started to rise and the replacement parts got more and more expensive within the last five years or so since, so many people were restoring and selling them at auction for such big bucks. Well, then comes the 5th gen and it looks retro and has a lot of the same lines from the 60's models. First time I saw it, it stirred up a lot of the same emotions and such that my neighbor's car did. This car is nostalgic, classy, retro and has a lot of intangibles. Plus it's just plain old bad ass!

No offense intended, but what is retro about the 2010 Camaro? Even Chevy backed off and said it was a new design and not intended to be "retro." I agree, the new Camaro is very nice looking but I don't see anything retro about it, unless you're comparing it to an early 70's Corvette. Bad ass? Yes indeed. I don't mean to sound negative, just asking a question.

Actually, most of the lead designers have already said in interviews all over the place, including Lee himself... That the 1969 Camaro is a strong influence on the new design.... including having said things like "All of it's strongest features link it to the 69".

They felt that the 69 was the strongest innitial release year for a Camaro and felt it was important to bring that into the new design. That said they MIXED IN lots of new elements so that it would appeal to a broader audience.

It is both old and new. And it doesn't take a genius to find the similarities by googling a few photo's.

No different than comparing the other cars in your signature to their oldschool counterparts. There are obvious retro hints in them all, otherwise they just wouldn't sell as much. Need to appeal to the already existing fanbase. Because it's HUGE.

I disagree. The Tacoma looks less brawny than its competition, but it still has that beefy snarl to it. The Tundra, these days, looks like a giant bull buffalo, just like the F-150 and Silverado...the Tundras have sort of lost their charm because of it, in my opinion. They look too much like everything else now.
