A short throw shifter is a cool gift idea! You can install it in 1 hr and wrap the empty packaging to give him as a gift. Barton of Hurst seems to be the easiest install at the moment. From feedbacks, both short throws but Barton seems to be smoother to shift compared to the Hurst which has the typical clicky shift (which I prefer).

dude if I touch my dads car, he'd rip my head of and shit down my neck. I'm 28 but thats his baby ..

i drive his escalade, his ssr, his 57 bel air, a 73 camaro etc etc those are fine, just can't touch the 2010 camaro.

i don't know if does it cuz he sees how I drive my car or cuz he knows I wont give him the keys back

As stated, many people have painted their tail light bezels. I'm having mine done by a shop but it's a friends shop so payment is pretty much paint and beer. It's an easy "do it yourself" job though. I think the hardest part is getting the damn things out.

Since money isn't really an issue, i'd go for the ADM or CAI CAI. IMO, both of those look the best and perform very well. They also are two of the most expensive. The Vararam looks promising but there's no way you could get one before Christmas. They haven't even started shipping their first unit yet.

I'm thinking a Diablo Sport of Hypertech tuner .. any other performance mods to look into besides the short throw shitter, CAI and exhaust?

A tune would be good but I would say to contact someone like Jannetty Racing and buy one of the SCT tuners from him. For basically the same price you can get a custom tune and not a generic "canned" tune that you'll probably get from the Diablo.

Also, if you decide to buy some headers down the road you can get them from Jannetty and he will update the tune for free.

Jannetty is a vendor on this forum and has remotely tuned tons of Camaros.

is headers a good move? Change the sound of the car much, what kinda of performance gains do you see? Any recommendations for a new cam? With a new cam I would need a new tune right?

I like the MGW, but I wish they made a retrofit for the stick itself so we could use something like a hurst stick. It can be done but it takes some welding.

Absolutely. Headers make a big difference on theses cars. It's one of the best performance mods you can make. Jannetty racing even has a package where you can buy Header, Intake, and Tune. I think he calls it the 415 street package.

Biggest thing on that is you'll need someone to install the headers. It's not that hard and I've seen some people quote as little as $200 to do it.

+1 for headers, but this would also benefit from a tune which void warranties.....just giving you the heads up.

Many do headers and tune at the same time

What are you looking to spend?.
