i know how u feel man..

a white charger hit me when i was going through a green. whole front left corner was punched in, parts of my left side, etc. all airbags deployed. quickly got out of the car after though.. was completely freaked out, but a shuttle driver came to calm me down and when i asked him to get my cell phone, he said onstar was trying to talk to me and he just told em to dial 911. they came really quick, too

i still get some muscle pains. doctor said i got whiplash.

the camaro took a lot of the damage for me and it showed. aaa totaled it, being more than 26k in damages and the frame was bent out of shape

...

man i was depressed . . .

so i went back to the dealership to reorder it (camaro being the only car i want). saw my salesman saying i need to do this ALL OVER AGAIN. he brought me to a camaro they just got off the truck and IT WAS THE SAME ONE and i got there before they were about to show it to someone. LUCKY ME. has the rs package, black/black, leather, and SUNROOF which was a particular preference of mine

so below r photos of old and new:

These stories are just killing me. What is about this car that it always seems to get beat up? Is it just that because we're online, and this is normal, but seems like a lot?

Last night my favorite customer told me a big branch landed on her new Cammy denting the hood, and roof, plus it left nasty scratches where it slid off.... I honestly would rather have had a branch fall on me than on her car. She was so happy when her car arrived. As a salesman I have seen excitement before, but seldom have seen the geniune giddiness she displayed on that day. She was like a kid on Christmas morning.... It just breaks my heart to hear this stuff....

Good point. I've been on forums for every vehicle we've had, from Malibus to G8's to Cadillacs, and never seen frequency like this. Doesn't seem to be many of the driver's faults...so many innocent at a red light, etc...but still SO many. Bizarre. Is it the attention the car gets, causing distraction? Is it a curse?

bevot9 - Sad story, but at least you got to see how well it protected you, experience Onstar, etc. When the time comes, try a few other things out, and you may come right back for another after seeing the grass isn't always greener. Or maybe it is. You'd never want to get something else only to regret it when you see another Camaro afterwards, which is the same for any car in an accident. Perfect example is my G8. There's a lot of other vehicles I really like, but none that could ever be so to the level of this car...I'd simply have to have another, period. Best of luck with it all!

that's how i feel about my accident. all those safety features the salesman was talking about i experienced firsthand - the airbags, the impact rating, onstar, etc. the camaro is truly a car i feel safe in, despite the fact it gets a little too much attention. . .
