Thumbs up HELP,... Stock 2010 2SS Camaro IPod Classic 160gb / Audio Connection Question?

Hi Guys,...
How's it going this weekend, Hope it's all well for you and yours.

I have a Audio Question that I'm hoping someone can answer for me please.

I ordered a Stock 2SS and I asked for a Classic 160GB IPod for X-Mas.

Do i need anything special in order to get these items to work together?

Does anyone happen to have an IPod Classic 160GB?

Do i need any special wires?

I'd appreciate any and all of your help that you can provide to me.
Thanks again.

RCPW.
A.K.A. Jim

Nope. All you'll need is the USB cable that comes with the iPod.

Does this keep you from changing songs on your ipod? I know when using the IPhone it locks out the ability to change songs on the iphone itself...
If so read below, if not then enjoy! However below is the solution to using an IPhone.

Don't use the usb cable, buy and audio cable and use the auxilary port so you can actually change songs using the ipod.

Once the usb cable is plugged in you have to unplug it to change playlist unless you plan on playing all songs at once and pushing next on your dash over and over till you find what you want.

I use an Iphone and an online radio station/app called pandora. I use the usb cable to charge my phone while the audio cable is using the auxilary port to play the audio through my speakers in my car

works like a charm

That's not true. You can navigate artists, etc right from the radio. USB cable is BY FAR the best solution if using an iPod.

You do realize you can do all of that from the radio now, right? You don't control the songs from the iPhone..

Yes, you're missing a lot lol. RTFM or just press the "Menu" button when it's connected. It's pretty self explanatory.

Hi Guys,..

This may help.

I dont have an IPhone. I'm not about to pay $75 a Month just to have it's services although please dont get me wrong, I would love to but I'm not gonna.

I use an HP IPAQ 110 with a 16gb mem card, Once i get the IPod 160gb for my Music that'll take care of me in the music department, I'm still using my phone service from when I worked at Circuit City back in `96. I pay $10 a Month for my service and about $0.10 a minute. I dont use a cell phone very much anyway, I think my bill every month is like $14-$15 bucks or something.

So from what you guys are saying the USB Cable should be fine then right??

And I Control this from the Streering Wheel or the Radio?

Thanks a BUNCH Guys.

Jim

Dang, you only use 40-50 minutes on your cell phone every month! I envy you.
The USB cable will do you fine. You control the ipod through the radio (though you can fast forward and volume up/down through the steering wheel if you have 2LT/2SS or 1LT + CC package).

Yep,... 40-50 Minutes. I do all of my business through email on my pc as much as possible and the second phone line we have in the house that we got for $20 when we signed up for our Cable Phone so that makes calling anywhere in the U.S. Canada and even some places over seas free calls which is a nice feature but as always,... I dont know about your Cable service but our Comcast service SUCKS ASS!

Hey,.. Check this out,.. I dont know if you'll be interested in this but There was this 1 Hour TV Show on NetGeoTV the other night, It was a show about Ultimate Factories and they showed how the 2010 Camaro was made from Raw Sheet Metal to the Finish Product, It was a Great Show. I recorded it on to my DVR but I didnt have anyway to get it off of the DVR and on to my PC but then I thought of a way,...

The ONLY way that I could do it was to record it using my Digital Camara.
The Quality Really Isnt all that Bad at all and is really worth watching. I used a Tripod so it's really steady and the sound is nice and clear.

I'm Not going to post a Link to it in here because I dont want to get Banned or get this Thread Closed or Banned so if you want to get a link to this Video on HotFile it's almost 400mb in size, Send me a P.M. Requesting the link to the Video and I'll send you the link so that you can download the video so that you can see how your Camaro Was Made or is being made.

Take it easy peeps.

Jim
